About Me

While I may not have the answers to everything in life (close to it, but most are correct as far as I care) if I don't have the true answer, I will make one up. It will be twisted and insane, for the most part, but interesting. (Was that sarcasm that you just smelled?)

I am the proud father of an 10-year-old boy with Autism. He’s a great kid and he brings a lot of joy and pride into my life. When I am feeling down, he finds a way to get me out of my funk and make me laugh. When I am happy (which is 99.9% of the time) he makes me laugh even harder and smile even wider. While I do not wish he were a child with Autism, I honestly believe that it’s the Autism that makes him who he is and, THAT, I would never want to change.

My Interests

The ocean, anything underwater, extreme weather, snow, adults with Autism, people watching, music, fishing, playing the nose flute, yard work, fun work, work work?, working with my hands, massage, fixing anything, life, love and the pursuit of chocolate.

I'd like to meet:

Robin Williams, Jon Stewart, Steven Corbert, the creators of South Park, George Lucas, John Williams, Temple Granden, George Carlin, Phil Collins, any child/adult with Autism, William (Bill) Clinton, and many more to come!

Music:

Progressive Rock (GENESIS), Alternative Rock, Retro-Rock, Classic Rock, Butt Rock, Punk, SKA, Acid Rock, Trance and Progressive House, Some Big Band, Symphonic, Barber-Shop Quartette (mainly when my nephew sings in it). I have one question. Why is easy listening music so hard to listen to?

Movies:

The 40-year old Vigin, All 6 Episodes of Star Wars (went to Premier of Episode 3 in San Francisco with George Lucas in the theater. It was AWESOME!) The Fifth Element, So I Married an Ax Murderer, Gross Point Blank, Pulp Fiction, High Fidelity, Ferris Beulers Day Off (Classic-timeless movie)

Television:

The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, The Colbert (pronounced Colbear) Report (Pronounced Repore), South Park, Deadwood, American Chopper, Extreme Make-Over-Home Edition, 24, Anything that has everything to do with Trains, almost anything on The Discovery Channel, ER (only during the first three years), Studio 60 (too bad this show was too intelligent for mainstream America and the ratings did not hold)..

Books:

America, The Book I Am America and So Can You!

Heroes:

My son, who is a child with Autism and faces an up-hill battle with the world that barely understands who he is. But he smiles every day and doesn't let the world affect him much. Which is why I don't have much to complain about.
