Well, Im human (I think), Male, and not amazingly tall....I like to think I can mix tunes as well....
I got into acid house music in 88, but the most raving i did back then was in the front room with all my mates listening to pirate radio stations like centre force & dreaming of being at Biology or Fantasia as I was too young to go to proper raves. I got into buying harcore records in 1990, and bought a set of decks and a mixer. Me and my mate went halves on a pair of soundlab DLP-01's and Phonic MRT-60 mixer(Strictly for those who know!!)
We taught ourselves to mix, and got pretty good after a few months. The first rave I went to was Orange @ The Rockit in Holloway. What a mad experience! Loved it and been hooked ever since.
I gave up buying records and mixing for a couple years, but in 96 was introduced to the sound of UK Garage. Went out, bought a new set of decks, and have never looked back.
The first big rave I played at was Camden Palace, and have played at loads and loads of venues in and around London and also abroad.
So it all worked out quite well really...
