Twin partners-in-rhyme Damon J. Banks and Daimeon S. Banks were born to John and Deloris Banks as the 13th and 14th of 17 children. They lived in the infamous Turnkey 3 projects in Durham, NC where they graduated from Southern Durham High School. They then went on to Virginia State University where they were prominent football stars and graduated with honors.
As youth, the duo always felt they had the gift of gab and would write rhymes and narrarations of life stories on paper. Shortly after high school, the brothers made a promise to their passing mother to not end up dead or in jail...so this is the route they chose.Damon and Daimeon started to take rap seriously in high school but were not really inspired to make it happen until their friend Ill Phil came through with some beats. They were later introduced to Yung Cassius (aka Camara), M.O.S, and the Hot Bloc fam. The Prezzy twins (Mini-Mag aka Willie J. Clinton & Monnie Pro aka Dic Nixon) were instant additions to the Hot Bloc roster after one listen to their articulate rhyme skill. They then started performing at local talent showcases with the Triangle Music Group (a collaborative NC production company made up of Hot Bloc Records and Nasty Fruit Productions) and opening for such major rap acts as Big Daddy Kane, DJ Kool and others. The duo's musical style can be described as the best of both worlds: the lyrical prowess of the East coast with a Southern dialect and a ravenous hunger that's ready to be fed! Influences from Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Snoop, Outkast and Scarface have given the Presidents the drive to become superstar lyricists in the Hip-Hop game.
