About Me
In the early 90's, Giallo started composing and playing live as a part of the flourishing Venetian reggae tradition. One of his first appearances on record was a deejay style number, reminiscent of U Roy and Big Youth, in the final part of My herb by the great Radio Rebelde on their fantastic CD Tam Tam. During the following years, this talented and versatile vocalist and writer continued to gain experience through various projects including So Vibes, Wadada and Kingston Corner, but unfortunately they did not give him the breakthrough to fame that he deserved. Some of his other tracks appeared on compilations of Italian reggae produced and promoted by Steve Giant with his magazine Rasta Snob. Finally this spring his debut album Nuovo Giorno was released and it shows the great talent and valid experience of Giallo. He was backed by Caraibi Near at the selection contest and we shall be seeing this band from Veneto, formed in 2002, with him on stage. This band was born in 2002 in Venice and its new sound, in which reggae meets pop music, wants to be enjoyable to people who have a very different musical taste. The first project of this combination is the promotion of ..Nuovo Giorno.., the first Giallo album as a soloist. After many concerts in 2005, they won Rototom Reggae Sunsplash Italian selection and they performed on main stage. After a long and hard studio work in 2006, Caraibi Near finally released ..Niu Reggae Stail... This project started before the combination with Giallo, who joined arrangement and live sets. Thanks to their fervid working together, Gialloman & Caraibi Near developed new ideas, new songs, and the project of the first combination album. Combining Giallo vocal power and fantasy with Caraibi Near..s originality, the sound will be innovative. The work is still in progress, stay tuned..
Nei primi anni novanta Giallo Man inizia a comporre ed esibirsi dal vivo come parte della fiorente scena reggae veneziana: una delle sue prime apparizioni su disco .. un "deejay style" che ricorda U Roy e Big Youth nella parte finale di "My herb" dei grandi Radio Rebelde sul loro ottimo CD "Tam Tam". Nel corso degli anni continua a fare esperienza attraverso vari progetti tra cui So Vibes, Wadada e Kingston Corner, in seguito allo scioglimento dei quali, dal 2005 inizia la collaborazione con i Caraibi Near. La band veneziana formata nel 2002, ha un sound inedito che avvicina Leggermente il reggae al pop, rendendolo fruibile a persone con gusti distanti dal genere. Il primo progetto realizzato dopo la combination .. la promozione del disco da solista di Giallo "Nuovo giorno" che, dopo numerosi concerti, culmina con la vittoria al Reggae contest 2005, le selezioni italiane del Rototom Reggae Sunsplash. Nel 2006, dopo una lunga lavorazione .. finalmente pronto anche il disco dei Caraibi near "Niu regghe stail", lavoro precedente alla collaborazione con GialloMan, ma in cui Giallo Partecipa attivamente negli arrangiamenti e nelle esibizioni live. Grazie al fervido lavoro assieme, GialloMan&CaraibiNear sviluppano nuove idee, nascono nuovi pezzi e il progetto di realizzare il primo vero disco della combination, che ora .. in lavorazione. Il sound sar.. innovativo, unendo la potenza vocale, la fantasia e l'esperienza di Giallo all'originalit.. dei CaraibiNear. Al momento il cd .. in fase di registrazione, speriamo di aggiungere Presto interessanti novit.....
