I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Based in suburban Detroit (but with a wide-ranging cyber practice), I have been a self-employed entrepreneur for 15 years. What I do most now for the MySpace community is be an attorney, the primary area of interest for the community being my work in entertainment law and media law. I have clients who create, produce, perform and sell entertainment content at all levels. That includes musicians, labels, models, magazines, web site creators, actors and actresses, whatever, whoever. If you create content, I can help you legally protect yourself.
[BTW, I do other stuff. Feel free to drop me a line if you have Q's about your business (starting, growing, expanding into new markets/countries), estate planning (especially if your parents have no clue about what to do), and family law -- divorce, kids custody and support.]
Then, there's a whole other side of my work, where I actually have done the content creation. I was one of the guys that created 89X radio in Detroit/Windsor, when it was one of a handful of Alternative stations in North America. I got to do that because I was a columnist for Detroit's Metro Times newspaper. Most recently, I have been a correspondent for an Emmy-winning show called “Backstage Pass” on WTVS-TV in Detroit and a talk show host on the Michigan Talk Radio Network, which aired on Detroit's Progressive Talk Station (1310-AM). So, I have the unique experience of having been on the creative side, which I know helps me when I lawyer for my creative clients.
So, anyone who has a question to ask, let 'em fly. There are no stupid questions, only people who stupidly don't ask them! Maybe if we talk, bounce some ideas around, we'll find a way I can help you out. Regardless, I can always use more friends! :-) Peaceout.

My Interests

Balancing and juggling the quests for money, fun, responsibility, satisfaction and the greater good. Beyond that: family, friends, sports (Detroit teams, U of M and, believe it or not, English Premiership soccer), government/politics, pop culture of all shapes and sizes.

I'd like to meet:

See Heroes (below). New clients, especially. Cool, smart, creative, entrepreneurial types, recovering lawyers, and fellow Macedonians. Also: Richard Branson, Herb Kelleher, Matt Groening, Al Jean, Judd Apatow, Cameron Crowe, Mel Brooks, Rupert Murdoch, Gary Trudeau, Brad Grey, the late Brandon Tartikoff, Paul Haggis, Al Franken, Aaron Sorkin, George Soros, John Hughes, Bill Clinton, Paul Feig, the Rozerem Beaver.
