Rickey signed as an artist with SOA Records in Nashville Tennessee in 2004. The label is owned by country music legend Razzy Bailey.
Rickey has consistantly had songs in the charts since 1998. His first number one "I Think I Rode The Bull" had a phenominal amount of airplay all across the USA and extensively on overseas radio.
The Bull was followed by Rickeys next number one "She's Breaking Up I'm Breaking Down" performed by country music star Bobby G. Rice.
"God Is Everywhere" was a big hit for Rickey and was sung by Rickey, Razzy Bailey and Bobby G. Rice.
Rickey has had a slew of top tens and top twenty's. His current release to radio is entitled "Whiskey Train." Be listening for it!
In 2005 Rickey and Lorrie Carter Bennett had much success with a song called "June's Blue Sky."
Rickey wrote the song about Lorrie's aunt June Carter Cash. Lorrie is the grandaughter of country music's pioneering matron...Mother Maybelle Carter.
Lorrie is also the neice of the great legend Johnny Cash. Her mother is Anita Carter of the Carter Sisters. The Cash and Carter families hearts are as big as their contributions to country music.
Currently Rickey is writing for several major publishers in Nashville. Rickey writes consistantly and is described by Broken Bow (Craig Morgans label) as being like the next Kris Kristopherson.
