About Me

The State of Tennessee has given the world 5 genres of music from Blues, Rockabilly, and Rock 'n' Roll of West Tennessee (Memphis,Jackson), to Nashville Country and Bluegrass music of East Tennessee. Each genre of music had a great influence and lasting effect on Bobby's music development. Bobby's Dad was a Gospel piano player from Memphis and his Mom was a Country singer and guitar player from Knoxville and Chattanooga.
Memphis, the birthplace of Blues, Rockabilly and Rock 'N' Roll has long been a tradition and still is a breeding ground for talented, successful musicians and singers who have made it big on the national and international music scene. Bobby grew up with and played music with most of them. He has worked in numerous bands to a featured soloartist, performing in such places as Las Vegas, Nashville, Branson, Tunica, Atlanta, New York and Canada. Bobby was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2002 but his music preference doesn't stop there. His unique smooth blend of Country, Rock, Jazz, Honky-Tonk, Easy Listening, Rockabilly and Memphis Blues, served up Nashville style, makes his piano antics sound smooth, mellow, refreshing and enjoyable listening music, very pleasant to the ear. Bobby has come along way as a pianist and composer, writing and producing great music. A blend of all of his musical experiences and expressions comes through in his music today.
Bobby's smooth piano antics, be it Blues, Rockabilly, Easy Listening, Jazz, Country or Rock N' Roll attracts fans both young and old, either performing as a solo artist or rocking with the band. Hand picked by Bobby are seasoned musicians Steve Pidgeon, lead guitar (*Steve is also an actor who played on NBC's TV series 'Lois and Clark' (Superman), working at the Daily Planet. After the show canceled, he returned to music performing as a Jazz artist in Los Angeles before joining Bobby) and James Gammell, drummer. Together, they have blended their musical chemistry with many years of professional experience that comes through in their music that complements and enhances each others performances. - New Deal Music
