"The new single "Say Stop" is in the player!!!!!!
From trading hip hop tapes in math class, to trading verses back and forth after school, Korry and I started what is now known as Irs. A few months of sessions between classes and siphes after school, we decided to form a group and look for a studio to start recording. After a few hellish sessions at studios that knew nothing about hip hop, we finally found a nice spot where we could be mentored into producers and seasoned studio vocalists. A few years of polishing our recording and production skills and we were ready to begin performing at shows and entering contests. By adding performing to our repertoire, we were on our way to becoming well-rounded musicians. Everything was coming together but we were missing one important element..a D.J.
During one of Torontos livest festivals, Caribanna, Korry and I met T.R.A.C.K.S at Caribanna (for all yall not from T.O., its mad live you should come check it out in August). We knew he was sick on the turntables from some of his mix tapes so we began to build, and the rest is history. He not only became our D.J, he became the third member of our group assisting with production and vocals.
In 2003, we released our first album Welcome To Planet Irs, which Universal Canada and Avatar Records (U.S.) picked up featuring T-dot anthem, T.R.A.C.K.S. Lament, and "No Hesitation" featuring Planet Asia. The singles earned rotation on all major Canadian stations and merited an appearance on B.E.T.s Next. We won a few awards, got written up in a few magazines, got nominated for Junos and UMAC awards along the way. Weve been back in the studio conjuring up our next album, which is being released under What'chu'want Ent., and we believe we've got the right blend of vibes ready. You can peep our new single Say Stop and tell us what you think of it.
If you are interested in networking or need vinyl/mp3's hit us up and we can connect.
