Welcome to the Monterey Mens Rugby Page. The Club got it' start in the 60's and was premier club in the United States, hosting such events as the Pebble Beach 7's the NCAA final four and running as a Division I team.
On a down note the club fell from grace in 1996 and disbanded. As a newly reformed club we enter our third season in the Northern California Rugby Union, continuing with the original nickname "The Tortugans", and Jack the Pirate as our Mascot. Check out our Blog on "WTF is a Tortugan" and our current roster for this upcoming season!
All are welcome to come check out the sport! Ladies and Gents are welcome to come and check out practice and learn the hardest fastest game in the world!!! Check our Blogs for info on playing and training, as well as upcoming events and parties!!!
