JOUST - a festival of mediaeval mayhem

About Me

The UK's largest and most spectacular mediaeval festival! Taking place at the magnificent 850 year old Berkeley Castle, Joust is a pageant of passion - a festival of filthe and fury! Not only is there full contact jousting but you can also witness daring displays of weaponry, archery and cannon fire! Concerts from the Mediaeval Baebes - maidens faire - will soothe your weary soul and the castle will open its ancient doors for you to explore its dark corridors and dungeons!
Join the feuding mediaeval Lord Berkeley and his sworn enemy the devious Lord Talbot! Rebel forces attack the noble residence in the thundering siege while the battle camp stretches across the meadow recreating life from 500 years ago. Traders hawk their wares and the finest food and drink will sate your hunger and thirst.
For a real treat join us at the Joust Royal Feasts for a belly bulging indulgence on a truely mediaeval scale.
Joust is a day out like none other - Welcome to your Heritage!
