*A GOOD POINTER to those that want feel close to me: Don't tell me to never change. I like to see myself changing just as seasons change...for a reason and purpose. I will always and never be the same. *I AM A SUCKER FOR old school Calvin Klein jeans or century old Levis...it's getting a bit disgusting, but this is one of the "always the same..." *THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN CRAMP MY STYLE is myself(not speaking up for what I believe in) *I LOVE getting dirty. It's very grounding for me (no pun intended) *LOVE tools/always need more. Electric drill, skill/jig-saw, you name it I have it and know how to use it...If not I'll figure the damn thing out;) *I NEED my camera to finish my art. I can't see thru things completely w/out one. *I AM ATTRACTED TO character and have many. I love it all and can immitate what I am currently entertained by. How are you then to know what to expect if I have yet to discover what interests me next. This keeps it exciting (for me too) *ALL IN ALL, I am very interested in learning how to live. *IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ME TO find myself passionately connected ALL I'm involved in. For the eye of my design lyes in my heart
John Jacob Jingle'Himer-Schmitt. No idea who this is but with a name like that...gotta to be GREAT/or a complete tripper (another Leonardo Da'Vinci). Either which way I'd dig him cause that's my name too
I'd like to meet Michael Jackson and Bono (so that we could swap sunglasses and clothes;) No, well yeah. I want to collaborate with these 2 artists more than any others...
..
Music is always in my life to elevate my state of mind or subdue it...Celtic, African and Native American music is very nourishing to me. Rock'n'Roll is a life style that I grew up in so I need a bit of that too. Tribal/house music?...Necessary at times when needing to get moving on an project. Most enjoyed albums front to back?..Paul Simon's Graceland. U2 albums (music always being relevant. Exact reason why the Beatles are outdoing the Beatles some 40 yrs later/still relevant)
concerts, live or on dvd...the whole production...I soak that stuff right up and use it. I see everything in life in a musical harmonious nature. People: leads, bass, rhythm and the ones that are there to hold it together with keeping the beat...fans (perhaps the most necessary, huh?) ALL play necessary roles in creating. My life has been absolutely inspired by the studying and observing the lives of other artists that I have been drawn to...many of them being in bands. Others being actors, painters, photogrophers...all living in artistic reality, creating a musical production in their craft
TV=BS (mostly) www.youtube.com is great;)
I can easily drop loads on books. I read biographies and study books on what call the 'architecture of culture': books of color, culture, art, photography, and lifestyle. self help books? yeah. We all need it. I ain't gonna pretend like I don't...Melodie Beattie's, 'The langueage of letting go' I recommend as a positive daily reading for thought.
Anybody who has worn their heart on their sleeve, never wavering in their core beliefs. Most have taken a fall for this and I know what that is like and also know why and how they are able to get back on their feet becoming stronger. It is love that makes us do couragous things. Heroes or rather role models or rather people inspire me to do what do it the way I feel it: Michael Jackson, a true warrior. Bono, a true mission. The Beatles got me thinkin bout things at the age of 15. Paul and Linda McCartney, a beautiful couple of people. Georgia O'keefe, a artist in her full understanding of what art is.
