Sidechaining Your life and Mine....

About Me

I have never belonged wholeheartedly to country or State, to my circle of friends or even to my own family... Such isolation is sometimes bitter, but I do not regret being cut off from the understanding and sympathy of other men. I lose something by it,to be sure, but I am compensated for it in being rendered independent of the customs, opinions and prejudices of others, and am not tempted to rest my peace of mind upon such shifting foundations. (Albert Einstein)

After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.
(Aldous Huxley)

"Who if I cried out, would hear me among the angelic hierarchies?
and even if one of them suddenly pressed me against his heart:
I would mearly be consumed in the streangth of that stronger existence
For beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror which we are still just able to bear.
and we love it because it so serenely disdains to annihilate us."
(Rainer Maria Rilke)

Di-Mention-It

Our culture, self-toxified by the poisonous by-products of technology and egocentric ideology, is the unhappy inheritor of the dominator attitude that alteration of consciousness by the use of plants or substances is somehow wrong, onanistic, and perversely antisocial. I will argue that suppression of shamanic gnosis, with its reliance and insistence on ecstatic dissolution of the ego, has robbed us of life's meaning and made us enemies of the planet, of ourselves, and our grandchildren. We are killing the planet in order to keep intact the wrongheaded assumptions of the ego-dominator cultural style.
It is time for change...
(Terence Mckenna)

Salt for Life

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.
(Mark Twain)

Why is it that no one holds hands anymore?
Remember, in any given moment we are making small and large decisions. Each decision is based on LOVE or FEAR. Choose love, follow your intuition, not intellect and follow your passion or "burning inner desire." Go with the flow.

Hyperspace

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnett, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly.
Specialization is for insects.

I am definitely not perfect and don't have the time in my life for people who think they are! Mutual respect, is possibly the greatest quality two people can have for each other. I am drawn to spontaneous people who are not afraid to explore there being fully but still maintain a high level of dignity and pride. I usually see special qualities in people that others don't. I like to be challenged in the way that I see things, with validity. It helps me broaden my understanding of everything around me, and most importantly, anyone who is willing to step out of My Space and share a new discovery.
So to answer the question directly..

"We have a symbiotic relationship with something, which has disguised itself [...] so as not to alarm us.
What's happening is that something, [not] easy to name [...], is reaching out toward us.
It could be the Gaian Mind, it could be the Oversoul of Humanity [...] It could come from the dead. [...] whatever this thing is, it keeps itself masked.
I've literally had the experience on mushrooms of saying to it, "Show me what you are, for yourself."
Well, it's like there's this enormous organ chord, the temperature falls, black velvet curtains are raised-- and after about 20 seconds of that, I'm saying,
"That's enough of what you are for yourself!
Let's go back to the dancing mice..."

The Tree Of Life

"I suggest that it is much more useful to try to make a kind of geometric model of consciousness, to take seriously the idea of a parallel continuum, and to say that the mind and the body are embedded in the dream and the dream is a higher-order spatial dimension. In sleep, one is released into the real world, of which the world of waking is only the surface in a very literal geometric sense. There is a plenum - recent experiments in quantum physics tend to back this up - a holographic plenum of information. All information is everywhere. Information that is not here is nowhere. Information stands outside of historical time in a kind of eternity - an eternity that does not have a temporal existence, not even the kind of temporal existence about which one may say, "It always existed." It does not have temporal duration of any sort. It is eternity. We are not primarily biological, with mind emerging as a kind of iridescence, a kind of epiphenomena at the higher levels of organization of biology. We are hyper spatial objects of some sort that cast a shadow into matter. The shadow in matter is our physical organism."

Be The Ball

It is no great accomplishment to hear a voice in the head. The accomplishment is to make sure it is telling the truth, because the demons are of many kinds: "Some are made of ions, some of mind; the ones of ketamine, you'll find, stutter often and are blind." The reaction to these voices is not to kneel in genuflection before a god, because then one will be like Dorothy in her first encounter with Oz. There is no dignity in the universe unless we meet these things on our feet, and that means having an I/Thou relationship. One say to the Other: "You say you are omniscient, omnipresent, or you say you are from Zeta Reticuli. You're long on talk, but what can you show me?" Magicians, people who invoke these things, have always understood that one must go into such encounters with one's wits about oneself.

Truth

What you know of God, is very simple really,
Its all you.
Its all you Know.
Be it.

Mother

Giving

You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.
For what are your possessions but things you keep and guard for fear you may need them tomorrow?
And tomorrow, what shall tomorrow bring to the over prudent dog burying bones in the trackless sand as he follows the pilgrims to the holy city?
And what is fear of need but need itself?
Is not dread of thirst when your well is full, thirst that is unquenchable?
There are those who give little of the much which they have - and they give it for recognition and their hidden desire makes their gifts unwholesome.
And there are those who have little and give it all.
(Kahlil Gibran)

Shaded By The Light

A touch of terror gives the stamp of validity to an experience because it means, "This is real." We are in the balance.
I'm not saying that there is something intrinsically good about terror. I'm saying that, granted the situation, if one is not terrified then one must be somewhat out of the full dynamics of what is happening.
To not be terrified means that one is either a fool or that one has taken a compound that paralyzes the ability to be terrified. I have nothing against hedonism, and I certainly bring something out of it.
But the experience must move one's heart, and it will not move the heart unless it deals with issues of life and death. If it deals with life and death then it will move one to fear, it will move one to tears, it will move one to laughter.

Psychological Weakness

Archangel Of The Hidden Sephera

An experience that changed me forever, December 31 1999.

When you look into the abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nothingness lies coiled in the heart of being - like a worm waiting to eat his way out of the fruit, rip and discarded from the tree of knowledge. If you have ever experienced total emptiness and eternal pain due to a total lack of all feeling, then you know where this place is.
So there I found myself, alone - in the true sense of the word.
The name of the Dweller in the Abyss is Choronzon, but he is not really an individual. The Abyss is empty of being; it is filled with all possible forms, each equally inane, each therefore evil in the only true sense of the word - that is, meaningless but malignant, in so far as it craves to become real. These forms swirl senselessly into haphazard heaps like dust devils, and each chance aggregation asserts itself to be an individual and shrieks ..I am I!' though aware all the time that its elements have no true bond; so that the slightest disturbance dissipates the delusion just as a horseman, meeting a dust devil, brings it in showers of sand to the earth.
There you try at first to seek refuge behind transparent ideas of faith and repetitive claims of "this is not real"(as if to test your everyday understanding of the word) assuming all along that you are the only one in control of what you feel. Wearing your personality like amour - instinctively - hours go by like days spent alone. I tried to wait it out only to find that time was not a function in control of the land of possible dreams to which the module forming mind could grasp. A war of souls insude using elemental weapons and sound governed by the laws of chaos until your understanding fails and you are thrown threw time into the empty landscape of the dry mind, starved of light and void of all thought, except perhaps survival. To try to explain the dangers here would always break form.
As soon as I had destroyed my personality, as soon as I had expelled my ego, the universe to which it was indeed a frightful and fatal force, fraught with every form of fear, was only so in relation to the idea ..I'; so long as ..I am I' all else must seem hostile. Now that there was no longer any ..I' to suffer, all these ideas which had inflicted suffering became innocent. I could give birth to a new soul. I could praise the perfection of every part; I could wonder and worship the whole.
Proverbs 3.13:
"Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding....She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he founded the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew"

Shamanism

I believe it's the same value that attends the exploration of ordinary realities. There's an alchemical saying that one should read the oldest books, climb the highest mountains, and visit the broadest deserts. I think that being imposes some kind of obligation to find out what's going on, and since all primary information about what is going on comes through the senses, any plant or any compound that alters that sensory input has to be looked at very carefully. I've often made the point that, chemically speaking, you can take a molecule that is completely inactive as a psychedelic, reposition a single atom on one of its rings, and suddenly it's a powerful psychedelic. Now it seems to me that this is a perfect proof of the interpretation of matter and mind. The movement of a single atom from one known position to another known position changes an experience from nothing to overwhelming. This means that mind and matter, at the quantum-mechanical level, are all spun together. This means in a sense that the term 'extraordinary reality' is not correct if it implies a division of category from ordinary reality. It is simply that there is more and more and more of reality, and some of it is inside our heads and some of it is deployed out through three dimensional - Newtonian space.

Line Of Sight

When we search for our real self, we must learn to release our ego from selfish and egotistic thoughts. To be able to do that, we must attune with an ideal model that lies within ourselves. This search for the self is important because it helps us to unfold a different aspect of being based on the ideal model that is, in reality, an image of our soul, a Divine archetypal image dormant within us. By focusing and reflecting upon it, we energize our spiritual nature, which puts us in better touch with our intuition.

You see, I don't believe in fate. To do so might give you just cause not to take responsibility for your own actions and blur you vision of the future by making it seem preordained. What I do believe in is your own true will, shaking hands with the true will of God. When you follow your heart for a just cause, the universe will conspire to help you and you will find that forces, once out of your control, will fall into place and guide you downstream to becoming all you were meant to be.

The Fallen Mystery

We need to cultivate a sense of mystery. The mystery is not only in the Other; it is in us. This reverberates again with the idea that we become that which we behold. If we accept the fact that life itself is founded in mystery (because we can not physically be at all levels of existence at once), we shall begin to learn everything there is to know about ourselves, deepening our understanding of others.

Simplicity Lies Beyond Reason

Simplicity lies beyond Reason. In the Microcosm your blood courses through the vains to supply the body with vita logy to fuel the relentless laws of nature. We understand so little of what is perfect because our principle of understanding is to bring the idea towards us and not us towards the concept. Perhaps this is true then for the Macrocosm.

Return To The Source

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always perseveres. Love never fails.
But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away ...
And now these things remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
..
( Bible - 1 Corinthians 13:1-8, 13 )

"We are living 'between the times' - the time of Christ's resurrection and the new age of the Spirit, and the time of fulfillment in Christ. Life in the Spirit is a pledge, a 'down-payment', on the final kingdom of shalom. In the meantime, we are to be signs of the kingdom which is, and which is coming."

Secret Wonder

Umber

Nature is mute... and we humans, embedded in the media dense, message dense, programing dense matrix of these hyper societys that we have created, often feel I think like hapless Adams, useless, running endlessly according to the blueprints and programs of unseen masters. We tend to dis empower ourselves. We tend to believe that we don't matter or cant make a difference, and with the idea of taking that into ourselves we tend to give everything away to somebody else. There is no inevitability in our lives unless we submit and give inevitability over to it.
Spirit, I believe, can be redeemed from matter.

Abraham Lincoln On Prohibition

"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."

"...it has to do with shamanism that is based on the use of DMT in plants. DMT is a neurotransmitter that, when ingested and allowed to come to rest in unusually large amounts in the synapses of the brain, allows one to see sound, so that one can use the voice to produce not musical compositions, but pictorial and visual compositions. This, to my mind, indicates that we're on the cusp of some kind of evolutionary transition in the language-forming area, so that we are going to go from a language that is heard to a language that is seen, through a shift in interior processing. The language will still be made of sound, but it will be processed as the carrier of the visual impression. This is actually being done by shamans in the Amazon. The songs they sing sound as they do in order to look a certain way. They are not musical compositions as we're used to thinking of them. They are pictorial art that is caused by audio signals."

The Aeon is a child at play with colored balls.....
There is no difference in principle between sharpening perception with an external instrument, such as a microscope, and sharpening it with an internal instrument, such as one of these.... If they are an affront to the dignity of the mind, the microscope is an affront to the dignity of the eye and the telephone to the dignity of the ear. Strictly speaking, these drugs do not impart wisdom at all, any more than the microscope alone gives knowledge. They provide the raw materials of wisdom, and are useful to the extent that the individual can integrate what they reveal into the whole pattern of his behavior and the whole system of his knowledge.

"I further promise and swear that with the Divine Permission, I will from this day forward, apply myself to the Great Work, which is: to purify and exalt my Spiritual Nature so that with the Divine Aid I may at length attain to be more than human, and thus gradually raise and unite to my Higher and Divine Genius, and that in this event I will not abuse the great power entrusted to me."

"A balkanization of epistemology is taking place. There is no longer a commonality of understanding. For some people quantum physics provides the answers. Their next door neighbor may look to the channeling of archangels with equal fervor.
It is accompanied by a related phenomenon which is technology, or the historical momentum of things, is creating such a bewildering social milieu that the monkey mind cannot find a simple story, a simple creation myth or redemption myth to lay over the crazy contradictory patchwork of profane techno-consumerist post-McLuhanist electronic pre-apocalyptic existence.
Into that dimension of anxiety created by this inability to parse reality rushes a bewildering variety of squirrelly notions, epistemological cartoons if you will. Conspiracy theory, in my humble opinion, is a kind of epistemological cartoon about reality. Isn't it so simple to believe that things are run by the greys, and that all we have to do is trade sufficient fetal tissue to them and then we can solve our technological problems, or isn't it comforting to believe that the Jews are behind everything, or the communist party, or the catholic church, or the masons. Well, these are epistemological cartoons, it is kindergarten in the art of amateur historiography.
I believe that the truth of the matter is far more terrifying, that the real truth that dare not speak itself is that no one is in control, absolutely no one. This stuff is ruled by the equations of dynamics and chaos. There may be entities seeking control, but to seek control is to take enormous aggravation upon yourself. It's like trying to control a dream."

"Think for yourself. Question authority. Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities - the political, the religious, the educational authorities who've attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations; informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself. Think for yourself. Question authority."
