Burning Bush has been a Reggae Band in Hawaii for over ten years here on the Island of Kauai. My name is Willy Judah (Please check Myspace/Willy Judah), Im the Lead singer, and Guitarist, Manager in band. We started here on Kauai, playing at our friend, Twelve Tribes member/ Scotty Benjaman's( Smokin Scotty Dread) house in Wailua and as time has gone on ,we /Andrew Belt(Drummer) and I kept the Vision and inspiration to keep playing, devotional Reggae and heart songs to help people feel so good. Since then many musicians have passed through adding different flavors to our sound and songs.We have played everything from Weddings, Birthdays, Holidays, Festivals, Benefits, just jamming in the parks,and More.Opening for World Class Reggae Acts Like - Israel Vibrations , Barrington Levi , Pato Banton , Midnite, Bamboo Station, Mystic Revealers , Freddie Mcgreggor , Bambu Station , and more!Also playing with/and along side Local Hawaiian Reggae Bands Like Marty Dread , THC /The Heartical Crew , Humble Soul , Ooklah the Moc , BET , Sashamon , Shakers , Revival, Alika, Shilo Pa and many More..I am the writer of all Burning Bush songs. I started Music at five years old with Piano, Through School classes and Ensambles, Tuba, Saxaphone, and Trumpet, playing Guitar and Singing in 1989 from a vision I had to sing and play guitar. My Grandmother bought me my first Guitar and told me to follow my Dreams. Involved in the Twelve Tribes of Isreal since 1991, and inspired by The Almighty God, and Dr.Vernon Carrinton(prophet Gad) Has helped me to keep playing and spreading the message of One Love, through my Music!I played in Jamaica in October/November 1995, there for a month in a half the Twelve Tribes of Isreal International Suit ball with the Twelve Tribes of Isreal Reggae Band in Kingston, were I worked out style and techneq for playing and singing all styles of Reggae. Recorded there in Kingston, one of my very first tracks called "Faith can Move Mountains" with Twelve Tribes Recording Studio(Off Old Hope Road/Kinston), and Returning again for more Reggae Playing and Singing/Recording again in 1998. Learning first hand with top Reggae musicians like Sangie Gad , Buju banton , Mutabaruka , Tony Rebel and Sister Carol , Natural Black , Culture , Jahmali and many more, To keep perfecting my Music skills.
Since then , I have Performed in California with Twelve Tribes of Isreal Band in Los Angels, and with David Levi/Melow Max in Santa Cruz and San Francisco, Oregon Country Fair, Reggae on the River, and Acoustically at Coffee shops up and down California Coast. Since I have Been in Hawaii , I have Performed on Every Hawaiian Island at various Bars ,events, Coffee shops, and The Biggest Hawaiian Night clubs..
In 2004 and in 2005, I flew to Indonesia to Bali were I linked up with the owner of the very popular Apachie Reggae Nightclub Club, and both years performed over a dozen Shows there at the club, with the very talented mucicians at the Apachie reggae club House Band.Currently booking lots of shows in Hawaii (808-651-4635) and working side by side with the Ras Gabriel and 4Word Reggae Band. working with lots of Hawaii's top Reggae Muscians. Recording and Performing as much as possible..
I write songs of Love,freedom and Consciousness,hope and Redemption.It has been a struggle to keep playing Reggae Music here on Kauai cause principalitys , powers,and negative people trying to stop this feel good music from being played,But we wont give up the fight to continue the Battle for feel good Reggae music!!!
