About Me

__________________________________________________ NEED started in 2003 as a heavy-prog act by guitarist Ravaya and in 2004 they recorded their first promo cd entitled "Avoidinme". The 39-minute cd got enthusiastic reviews from the press. Thus was NEED included in several underground compilation cd’s which increased NEED's reputation in the underground. Shortly after the release of "Avoidinme" the band's line-up changed and became what NEED is today. The change in line-up brought new ideas and enriched NEED's sound to a heavier edge with some aggressive elements.Soon after, the band started working on new material for their first full-length album "The Wisdom Machine" while at the same time appeared live in various local clubs and metalfests. Four of the heaviest tunes from "The Wisdom Machine" were picked for "Promo 2006", which subsequently led to a record deal with Burning Star records. NEED's debut "The Wisdom Machine" hit the stores in November 2006... In May 2007 NEED returned from their first mini euro-tour which took them through UK, Denmark and Greece with their labelmates ZENITH (Denmark). At the moment NEED are recording their second album_________________________________________________
