I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4The Greek Legion, the Official Savatage Fan Club was founded in Athens, Greece about 7 years ago and it is maintened by Jon and Andrew. . . . . . . . . . It was founded by Nick,Vaggelis and Olia under the name Savatage Gr but after those guys lost interest it was time for Jon and Andrew to take over. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Since that point the Greek Legion released 5 issues of the f.c.'s magazine "Postscript" including interviews from Savatage,Trans-Siberian Orchestra,Jon Oliva's Pain,Circle II Circle,Chris Caffery,Doctor Butcher and more as well as reviews,live reports from Sava-shows around the world,special features and contests.Two of the issues also included a bonus cd with rare Savatage recordings,bootlegs and videos. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .The fan club's activities include member meetings, pre-listening parties,pre-show and after show activities with the band,accoustic fan club parties,meets & greets and a lot more. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Unfortunately due to the lack of time and also the very few activities of Savatage the fan club was put to some form hibernation.But right now with the launching of this page we'll start a new campaign to promote everything that's got to do with Savatage and all the related bands:JON OLIVA'S PAIN, CIRCLE II CIRCLE,CHRIS CAFFERY,TSO,DOCTOR BUTCHER etc. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Some of the most important and unforgettable events in the Greek Legion's history include---------Febr. 2002: Meet & Greet with Savatage during the soundcheck of the Athens show for the "Poets & Madmen" tour . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Aug. 2002: Trip to Wacken Open Air (Germany) to watch and cover Savatage's appearance at the festival. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .June 2003: Member meeting with Chris Kinder (member of CIIC at the time,now drummer of JOP) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Sept. 2003: Special fan club accoustic show and meet & greet with Chris Caffery . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Oct. 2003: Trip to Tampa,Florida (USA) to watch and write about the Criss Oliva Memorial show.We had also made a Criss Oliva tribute calendar with statements from numerous metal bands about Criss which was immediately sold out! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Nov. 2003: A special 4-page article about the Memorial Show written by Jon was issued in the greek version of the Rock Hard magazine. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ..Dec. 2004: Meet & greet and after show parties with Jon Oliva and the band members of Jon Oliva's Pain during their 3-date tour in Greece for the "Tage Mahal" album . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
