Greetings Dearest Patron,
Here lies the online presence of the Sunabacka. Not sure how you got to reading these words – but that doesn’t really matter. Thanks for coming and I hope that you enjoy the music and have a chance to drop by and see a live show sometime.
About Sunabacka? He’s done too much school to cut wood for a living, he thinks Earnest Cline is a comic genius, he has kept the shine on a few good pubs but still doesn’t have it in his heart to like rainy days. He’s been a rugby all-star, award winning barista, philosophy/theology grad, canoeing instructor, and avid year round cyclist (in Winnipeg - brrr).
Sunabacka, since the recording of Common Experience in 2002, has spent all his time doing the things we have all done - but none of us admit to our mothers as having had done. He then tries to stay awake long enough to write songs about it before sleep steals all the words/melodies.
From the virtues of smoking, to a love song to his favourite pint (an afternoon 'Black and Tan' from Ginger’s Tavern Halifax), Sunabacka loves to write about all the good that can be found in life by being a general badass and hooligan.
