About Me

Most people stop short of calling a dj a musician and yet hail a conductor as a maestro. True, most djs only play records where as a conductor controls around 50 musicians. Some djs, however, realise that they have the power to control and manipulate every single sound ever recorded in human history. Ferris is one of these few djs.
With 16 years behind the decks and in the studio, Ferris has worked with just about every big name in the business. Ask him about his first gig and youll be told how he would bring a turntable and armful of records to school every Friday for his grade 3 disco, or about his track intros at his parents club even before then.
Since the release of his Heartbeats, Darkbeat and Sunny mix compilations all of which gained rave reviews, ferris has been deep in production, and with remixes for the like of Sarah McLauclan and Gwen Stefani, Ferris has tasted overseas Top 10 chart success and now has some of the cream of international DJs playing his tracks. With current residencies at the Sunny and Darkbeat parties as well as every Friday night at Royal Melbourne Hotel together with a full schedule of interstate spots you can be assured of a set that stands out from the masses. Freshly armed with new equipment and new motivation Ferris sound is evolving beyond belief.
QUOTE: Its against our policy to have a guest DJ on twice in a row, but after Ferris played the mother of all closing sets we just knew he was perfect for this particular gig.
QUOTE: As for Ferris. Speechless. FAAAAAAARK. Anyone there will know what I'm on about. Will definitely be seeing more of this madman
QUOTE: and whoever the guy was upstairs toward the end with the dreads blew me away! Who was that?
QUOTE: Anyone who was here for Melbourne Breaks United was blown away with his closing set a definate highlight of the night.
QUOTE: Ferris then took over downstairs & belted out a great set indeed. I dont think I have ever seen a man with hands that move that fast, I actually found myself just standing on the side staring at his skills. He played fresh tunes with a beat you cant stand still to but also throwing in the odd classic.
QUOTE: This audio left me speechless. I really don't have the words to describe how this made me feel...raw? primal? passionate? This took me for a journey that I wasn't really ready to leave at the end. I dimmed the lights, laid back, and let my surround-sound speakers talk. It's not that you just hear music, but you see it, smell it...you live it. Ferris, by far the hottest set I've heard in a long time by any DJ.
QUOTE: i listened to you music and i was pumped....... its acer........you should be proud made me wanna DANCE...and wave glowstix lol really its awesome

Ferris' sound has been humorously described as small furry animals being tortured by African villagers. But more accurately, a blend of cutting edge tribal progressive and fat dirty electro breaks. His ability to read and respond to a crowd guarantees your dance floor will be packed from start to finish.
