Nyor was formed on July 2004 together with hip-hop faction called P.R.M. (pinoy reyal maldito). They made their first public appearance on a band competition at southwestern university and ranked second place. The second time was when MTV came to Cebu to look for new aspiring acts. They won third place with a cash prize of ten thousand pesos (Php 10,000).The name nyor came from the band neuronz which most of the main line-up of the band came. The original line-up was made up of: ANTON and MATT on vocals, DUDZ on bass, BRIAN on drums, LANGGOY as the sampler and RON2X on guitars. As the band felt the need for a second guitarist, MARTON of burn unit came into the picture. This was when BRIAN decided to pick up the guitar and have MARTON as the drummer; the band was now composed of two mc’s, two guitars, one sampler, one bassist and a drummer. After a few months, unavoidable events occurred which prompted RON2X to leave the band. As the position for a second axeman was sought for, KEN of aurora revival pitched in as a part-timer and eventually became a full-time member.The band is currently on the song-writing process and is planning to release a five song EP.
