Born Joe Duncan on July 26, 1984, and raised in Duncanville Texas (the woodz), this young man began his life as an all star athlete. After being named one of the SWAC athletes his freshman year in college (yes the boy was good) he had his mind set on the bigger crowd. Not knowing later on in his prospective pro football career, that was not what life had as a destination on his map as his injuries denied him of a successful landing. “Murkâ€, the alias given to him by the legendary Coach Thomas for his assassin mentality on the football field, had to reroute his trip to success. Seeing as though sports was pretty much out the picture, he began to fall back on his second love which was music. “I couldn’t sing or dance so that was out the picture; and damn sure couldn’t rap, but I wanted to always have complete control over situations as much I can, so I figured; Ay why not be a DJâ€. That’s where all started. “After being laughed at, turned down and being critiqued so much by the people that surrounded me, I began to think it wasn’t for me, until I realized that maybe they don’t want me to because I might out shine them. Later .. sheading the dead skin, I began to listen to myself and created my own formula to the game a became pretty good. So then I took it to the next level and DJ’d a couple of free house parties for some family members that were trying to hop into the promotion game but had no money to rent out the clubs, but yet still pulled in crowds jus like one; anyways I started out doing gigs free jus to let people hear what I had. Then came all the request from sororities, fraternities, event eh school. From there came the clubs and concerts and tours, you know the major events.†After being though all that as the underdog or the over looked kept in the dark, he is here.
