Lowfish is perhaps one of Canada's most prominent electro producers. His clinical production style is both very "new school" and built on the DNA of early new wave and IDM. Sometimes dark, often melodic and catchy - Lowfish tracks always strive for timelessness and quality while trying hard to steer clear of fashion and flavour of the month technology. The weapons of choice are what they have been from the start - semi-operational analog synthesizers, temperamental drum machines and scratchy recording gear. The name Lowfish was inpired by these dusty machines. The result being a production aesthetic that is lo-fi "ish", thus Lowfish.
Lowfish has released 4 full-length albums and a stack of singles on labels including Suction Records, Ersatz Audio, Vynalogica, City Centre Offices and Satamile, with scores of remixes and compilations appearances for respected imprints around the globe including Morr Music, Ghostly International, Turbo Recordings, and even the National Film Board of Canada. In 2005 Lowfish began producing music for Film and Television and had his unique brand of "precision drum machine electro-pop" included in independent films and featured on numerous BBC Television and news shows...
Lowfish live has turned out to be a dancefloor menace. He has brought his unique mix of electro and industrial-strength robo-disco to dance floors around the world. He has toured with Solvent, Skanfrom and Adult., and shared the stage with the likes of Silicon Scally, Tiga, 2manyDj's, Bola, Ulrich Schnauss, Legowelt, and Ectomorph to name a few.

A new album on Satamile called "Burn the lights out" is out now...
