Smallfish Records
Smallfish Records was established in the heart of the east end of London on January 9th 2000 as an outlet for leftfield and electronic music.
For 6 years Smallfish served the music buying community both in the shop itself and via its worldwide mailorder service.
In the past we hosted in-store performances from Isan, Fourtet, Hood, Inch-Time, Fortdax, Sebastien Roux, Si-cut.db, DJ Vadim, Stafraenn Hakon, Benge, Tigrics, Robert Jesse & Simon Lord, Murcof, Plaid, Kid606, Antenna Farm, Nubian Mindz, Animal Collective, Machine Drum, Dat Politics, Zapruda Trio, Posthuman and many more.
The physical shop at 329 Old Street closed down in July 2006 so that we could concentrate on offering a more comprehensive online service.
With a much needed upgrade to functionality, a more minimal, stripped-down design ethic and a host of new features, we’re determined to keep Smallfish your one-stop online shop for a wide range of independent electronic music.
Smallfish’s 3" CD label was launched in 2006 and already features a catalogue of varied, exciting and engaging electronic music from a host of artists. Look out for more releases in 2008.
