Blue is Back

"Things happen for a reason." I've had good and bad like anybody in this world, but if it weren't for all the hard times, I wouldn't be who I am and where I am today. Sometimes we don't recognize how all the hard times are benefiting us until later on in our lives. After living in South Carolina all my life, coming to NYC was a dream, not only because this is where I could jumpstart my career, but because I could grow and challenge myself and discover new truths. I want to grow and learn as much as I can and sometimes that means I have to either sacrifice or go the route not many are willing to take. But it is so worth it. And as I become blessed with many opportunities, I feel that I have an obligation now to give back to those who have mentored me, shown me new ways of thinking, and most of all I have to find out how I can benefit the greater good of society. Like many of my friends, I am still figuring things out and where my place is in the world, but I am one step closer now. No city no matter how big it may be can hold a man's dreams down.
