The Exfriends

It’s what all the ages have struggled for.

About Me

Matt Curreri is the songwriter at the center of The Exfriends. Born in Los Angeles, raised in Virginia, schooled in Indiana, Matt Curreri ended up in San Diego by way of New York City.

The Exfriends is "one of San Diego's best indie bands" according to the SD Union Tribune (April 2008).

In March 2008, The Exfriends completed a new album, and released the first single, "Cry When I Die" right here on myspace.

In 2006, the Exfriends released "Exercise Music for the Lonely" and toured the east coast and England.

In 2003, Matt Curreri & Joanie Mendenhall moved from New York City to the fabled origins of skateboarding and surfing, North County San Diego (Encinitas, Cardiff, and now Carlsbad). Matt released "How to Play the Songs of Matt Curreri" to critical acclaim nationwide.

(Note: Matt Curreri is indeed the brother of musician Paul Curreri and the brother in law of Devon Sproule of Charlottesville, VA.)
