The Flimz

About Me

Dear friends,
This is not an easy message to write, but we've put it off long enough, and the time has come for The Flimz to say our good-byes and thank-yous to all of you who have turned an attentive ear to our songs and stories these past couple of years.
Necessity requires that we take a break from all the fun, but the memories we will hold dear in our hearts for a very long time to come. It wouldn't have been half the laughs, and it wouldn't now be half the tears if it hadn't been for you.
Please remember us fondly and in your prayers as we, like so many others, roll up our sleeves and get down to the business of survival. The love and support you've shown us will be our fuel for the future.
And whenever you laugh, chuckle just once more for the two of us! We love you.

Here's what Nashville has to say about THE FLIMZ debut:
"Together these ladies make for a California-sound that is (I can't believe I'm using this word)... dreamy... Dru and Mayer are a very musically adventurous duo--- one that should be heard!"

Here's what San Diego is saying about THE FLIMZ debut:
"A+... posivively stunning... absolutely remarkable vocal harmonies... you find yourself hitting repeat on the cd player to hear what you missed the first, second, and third times through, and that kind of magic just isn't found very often."
Jim Tragaser
North County Times
"The best new San Diego duo you've probably never heard of, but should...winsome songs and joyously intertwining voices land nicely between those of the McGarrigle Sisters, and The Roches... radiates charm from start to finish."
George Varga
San Diego Union
"...unique songs with wonderfully lush harmonies that you want to hear again and again... charming, melodic, and sweet... incredible songs..."
