Coming from different musical backgrounds including jazz, blues, Alternative rock, metal and, of course, old school punk rock, they are The Last Remnants of a few unforgettable, but forgotten bands including Full Metal Fonzies, The Lovelies, The Ninth Rounders, Sin Loi, Tin Ear, The Music Haters, Mung (from Winnipeg), Diesel, Wasted Youth (no, not the one yer thinking about), The Flying Jisms, Existench, Slitch, Sloth, The Shitheads, Dogbite, Slugbait (and Drock still has System Shit happening). As of June 1st 2007, Dave decided, with reluctance, to leave the band that has brought him nothing but joy and satisfaction. He leaves these blessed realms with saddened regret. Drock, though, seemed temporary, has nothing but glad tidings and remembrance of adding the best bass lines TLR has ever had. Thank you Drock.Formed in September 2005 by Tarra and John, The Last Remnants quickly adopted John's good buddy Dave, figuring he needed to be dragged out of his 10 year hiatus to add the beat to their already growing collection of tunes.Six months and a couple bass players later, The Last Remnants convinced Suzy.E. to join the family, as their new resident bassist. Unfortunately, Suzy had other personal electronic ambitions decided to pursue them. All the best Suzy! Her last show was the 8th of August at the Lynnwood. We were lucky enough to have Ros on hand to document the show on video and we have posted some tidbits from that show in our video section. We then aquired Drock Liverotchie , a renowned lead punk singer and bassist from Dartmouth, NS, and were lucky enough to play with him for couple of shows and countless jam sessions-thanks Drock!
Unfortunatly, after a long and hard thought, Dave decided to leave the 'band' to move on to other projects but still hangs with his former band mates from time to time...you'll always be family Davey! thanks for the memories.
Currently(jan2008)they're searchin for a new drummer so they can get on with things and get back to playin shows. If anyone out there is intrested contact The Last Remnants at their hotmail that's listed on the site. As far as bass players are concerned, they seem to have that figred out for the moment and you'll just have to wait and see who it will be ..There also just might be a second guitarist lurkin in their midst. They aint down for the count folks, just on vacation . See ya all soon...
