Everyone working at Lovebox would each like to thank all the wonderful people who came to the Lovebox London Weekender 2008, making it another memorable sell-out party. For the 7th year thousands wound their way down to Victoria Park proving that Lovebox is now a firm mainstay of the summer party season.

At the turn of the new millennium, pop dance critters Groove Armada decided that they wanted to develop a winning formula for great parties with that extra special something.Out of their love of the multitude of musical forms informing dance culture Lovebox was created with the intent of bringing fresh exciting sounds to people’s ears and feet. Discovering something new could be fun and they were about to prove it.To this day, Lovebox has grown from this humble concept into the capital’s most innovative and best music festival.Lovebox continues to be lovingly put together by a growing team of enthusiasts who live and breathe the music scene in its many variations. The result is an annual event true to the origins of music festivals where hedonism mixes with passion for carnival and art.
2008's LOVEBOX WEEKENDER festival was a massive success – A total sell-out 40, 000 very happy people were entertained by the likes of Manu Chao, The Flaming Lips, Groove Armada, Goldfrapp, Stanton Warriors, Seun Kuti, The Dandy Warhols, The Go! Team, The Human League, Jack Penate, The Young Knives, Secretsundaze and Mulletover, along with fairground attractions, LoveArt, The Sourced Market, Horsemeat Disco's free moustaches, Brazilian Dancers and a whole host of other LOVEBOX goodies.
