Lost Properly

About Me

"It's a kind of dance/rock/chillout meets anything goes type thing." Says Mike. "There's the full live show side of it plus DJ sets and more random experimental efforts too". So, just who is behind this muso-circus?Where to begin? In 2002, through miss-shapen labourers and and an Avery-like venue they met and at that moment were, and possibly still are in polar opposite places musically. It would be some 5 years before they start working together as an outfit but an equally random sense of humour and a love of partying kept them close...Will has fronted and lead two bands in the past and later played lead guitar in a 3rd group which played at some of London's premier night spots as well as attracting A&R attention. Will is an extremely versatile musician and as with Mike refuses to adhere to musical posturing. "We scrapped the rule book on day one with Lost Properly" - Will. Mike says of his partner in crime: "His style as a writer and performer is wide in range and he comes out with riffs that take our music off in a totally different direction. It's great cos' it starts a whole chain of new ideas. He also likes a good piss up so we're made for each other!"Mike has lead a chaotic life in music. His studio work began at 17 when he had two hard dance tracks signed and played on radio and later, as busy London DJ aged 19 around the year 2000, he played tinitus enducing, relentlessly hard edged music to the sweaty, all night crowds of the underground dance scene. Mike kept on producing with a new tribal house sound and scored several guest shows on Ministry of Sound radio. Having toyed with the guitar since the age of 8, in 2005 he formed and fronted a notoriously shambolic punk band which imploded at it's 'peak'. The guitar comes in handy now as Mike does all the 'Wonky solos' ;o)"I'm thankful Will and I found each other cos' we've both got minds like mount etna - I don't think there's a safe pair of hands between us but that's what makes a good band in my book. We can be sitting next to a perfectly good pair of bongos and decide to use biscuit tins for percussion!Although now living in London, both boys grew up in the countryside and love a good festival. They are planning to take a stage show out on the road next summer and meantime terrorise some smaller venues around the UK. Spreading the love but not!

We decided when we started this outfit that we would not randomly add people per say as when you get a random friend request from a band you automatically think they are poo, why else are you prostitu...
