About Me

I freely admit that I am copying this information from my Friendster profile because I would only feel obligated to reword most of the same details that I laid out on that site. That said, here it goes: I possess the ability to talk to most anyone about most anything. Some simply refer to this as "the gift of gab," however I like to think I am just that much fun and engaging. :-) I enjoy quite a few nerdy things like "tricking out" my computer (iMac baby) and playing the role of "technical support" to my family and friends frequently over the phone or in person, but above all, I consider myself a man of the liberal arts. Get me yapping about European (especially medieval) or American colonial history and you might as well get comfortable and mix a drink. However, how fun is talking if no one is giving it right back to you? Hit me up and see what we have in common - you might be surprised! It is wild to think that I moved to Chicago almost two years ago - now I am sharing a pad with Miss Jenna Lee and Jarred is holding down the fort on Albion Av until he moves in with his fiance, Sarah (are we getting old or what?). I am also quite lucky to have met and be in a relationship with a darned sweet guy right now. :-)

My Interests

reading, singing (chorus and shower alike), movies, experimental cooking (usually good results, actually), bantering with friends, Macintosh (as in the computers), traveling

I'd like to meet:

I want to meet interesting and random people - both those that share some of my interests and those that share none of my passions. Life is all about branching out and experiencing new things and ideas. I am also finding myself in a phase where not only do I want to meet new people and make new friends, but I am trying to find and reconnect with friends I have been out of touch with for a while.

Music:

garbage, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Indigo Girls, J.S. Bach, Coldplay, Kent (Swedish band)....pretty much anything to be honest

Movies:

The Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, Indiana Jones and the Search for the Lost Ark, The Matrix, JFK, It's a Wonderful Life, Latter Days

Television:

Smallville (no laughing, damnit), Star Trek the Next Generation, X-Files, I Love Lucy, CSI, need I go on?
