..Music (hard rock, alternative, and classic are my faves, but I'm open to just about anything) and literature, especially works that involve the paranormal. I'm also a huge Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos fan!
..Heck, anyone who likes to read. :-) And other writers--especially novelists and screenwriters. Also, I would like to meet those who work in the film and game industries, for possible adaptation of my written works.
..As I mentioned above, I'm open to most music, but am drawn most to hard rock, alternative and classical. Led Zep and Hendrix from my youth, to Van Halen, Aerosmith and on to bands like G & R, Queensryche, Megadeth and Metallica. I still keep an ear out for new things. My teenage boys have exposed me to groups like Korn and Breaking Benjamin.
..Anything with a captivatiing plot. I tend to be drawn easiest to suspense, thillers, and horror that is well done, but I can enjoy anything else that is well-thought out (whether it be surprising twists, excellent humor and dialogue). The Dark Knight is probably the best thing I've seen in years, although many others have touched me as well (too many to mention here).
Anything entertaining and controversial (HBO stuff, The Daily Show, Dexter--that sort of thing, along with anything centered around the paranormal).
..Well of course mine...
The Golden Talisman
--just kidding, although I am shamelessly promoting my work here on the page. I love anything that is good horror--whether that is Peter Straub, Richard Matheson, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Anne Rice, or anyone else. I liked Dan Brown's "The De Vincei Code" and have read a few Patricia Cornwell and Michael Crighton novels that I liked. When I get a spare moment, I would like to read something from John Grisham or James Patterson--to name a few authors.
...Stephen King, Anne Rice, Thomas Payne come to mind the quickest. I also admire the music of Sting, U2, and Led Zeppelin (weird mix, huh?). I enjoy Jon Stewart and Bill Maher, and I'll watch anything with Morgan Freeman, Johnny Depp, Anthony Hopkins, Samuel L. Jackson, Will Smith, or Tom Hanks in it, so I guess in a way they are heroes as well. Too bad Heath Ledger left us so early, as he'd surely be on this list, too.
