Painting, sculpting, visits to the dogpark, reading, the computer, playing my harmonica, soccer, bowling, bicycling, and scheming on ways I can get all up in that...or at least meet a nice girl (must be 18 yrs or older to apply).
Interesting and intelligent people with a positive attitude, a fresh, creative outlook, and a great sense of humor. Doers, not talkers. Any and/or all of the above. Hot chicks digging on goofy-looking guys a huge plus. Actually, I'd prefer "sincerity" and "honesty" over "hot".
There was a time when the music I listened to defined who I was. Then I broadened my musical interest to be more inclusive of other styles. Then I realized that I could never afford to buy all the music that I liked (let alone find the time to listen to it), and just who in the hell was I trying to impress, anyway? I haven't bought any new music in years, though I try to keep up with contemporary stuff. I could start listing bands I liked, but really....what would that prove?
I'm a huge movie fan and I like almost all gendres, depending on the situation and my frame of mind. I just don't like movies that are an insult to any reasonable intelligence or require TOO huge of a "suspension of disbelief" (though I've got to make an exception for Spiderman I & II, 'cuz the story was strong enough to carry it, as far as "comic-book" movies go), preferring instead movies that make you think, have an original plot, touch on new ground, or do something never done before. Any recommendations?
Television is merely a slick marketing tool and I've grown utterly disgusted by the proliferation of "reality-based programming" as it's a product of corporate network greed cutting out the need for actors, writers, set construction, etc. with the exception of "Blind Date", which is pretty damn funny! However, I am a big fan of the sketch comedy: SNL, Mad TV, Kids in the Hall, Monty Python, The Colbert Report, Simpsons, Dave Chappel, Futurama, South Park, Family Guy, etc...and I'm ALWAYS in search of anyone who could share with me "Upright Citizen's Brigade" episodes!
I rip through the books! I lean toward horror, fantasy and comedy for fiction, but I also love to read any kind of nonfiction (no matter how "boring") as I have a compulsive thirst for knowledge!
Easy. Hands down, that would be my Dad.
