Fans outside his hometown of Vancouver and music industry professionals got a taste of James' music when one of his songs, "Sick Of Love", got selected to be on a Showcase Original Series Documentary.
While James has written and performed original music for years, it wasnt until late 2005 that he began to seriously record his music and in early 2006. James independently released a 5 song EP titled "Hard Feelings" in 2007 and received considerable airplay on collage and online radio as well as a popular seller on CDBaby.com

He was born James William Munroe on Oct 20, 1972 in Bridgewater Nova Scotia,
home of the legendary Hank Snow & Donald Sutherland. This 34-year-old grew
up absorbing the Folk, Country and Bluegrass sounds that are Nova Scotia. He
attended a Parkview High School and where he first started taking guitar lessons
and connecting with other musicians.
James' music, stage presence, and well-deserved opportunities are results of
his talent, strong work ethic, tenacity, practice, and trust; a trust which
is paramount between a musician and his audience.
