About Me

First of all, that is not a caricature style rendering of me. Unfortunately, my legs are actually that skinny in proportion to my head.
Born in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada
, I have seen many fish but I don't like to eat them. If they smelled more like chicken, I might give it a try. Working on a local farm, cutting cabbage in the cold fall rain, was one of the few options I had to earn money where I grew up if I didn't want to be a fisherman. It was the worst job I have ever experienced, but it allowed me to purchase an airline ticket to Toronto.
When I was 15, I paid to have "Rock And Roll" tattooed on my shoulder at the travelling exhibition where you had to be 18 to get one. That wasn't enough to catapult me into rock stardom, and neither was the move to Toronto when I was 18. I sang in cover bands doing cheesy classic rock songs, and wrote and recorded a bit in an original Toronto band. We used the commission check that we received for our EP sales to buy beer (and still had to chip in twelve dollars of our own). Although the stage career never panned out, I have always been a huge music fan.
Inspired by late night infomercials in the late 90s, I decided to buy a computer and make money . I joined eBay in 1997 to buy and sell collectibles, since that sounded better than working as a downtown Toronto bike courier in minus 40 degree winters (although aside from the cold, that was one of the coolest jobs I had). Collecting toys, and other memorabilia is just one of the many nerdy things I do. I collect MnMs but I don't eat 'em much anymore. Everyone should collect something, but I don't have any logic to back that up. Starting with the eBay bug, internet addiction soon accompanied my 3am caffiene withdrawals and I have been an entrepreneur ever since.
In the past few years, I have designed a long list of material for the adult industry and also created a business of generating income using affiliate marketing online. One day I might shift gears and doing some work in the music business. The low percentage of success rates and long sleepless hours appeal to me. Luckily, I'm already addicted to caffiene.
That's my 5 minute bio.....now kindly buy me an XL coffee and add me to your friends list.

My Interests

Music, Design, Marketing, Internet, Collecting, Poker, Movies, Stand Up Comedy, Spending my time doing anything creative.

My girlfriend, my family, my friends, and pets rank high on the scale of "interest" as well, of course! I felt bad for King Kong which was something passed down from my mother, and I inherited the sarcasm gene from my father. My older brother was always one of those guys you don't ..$*& with, so luckily for me, we were 7 years apart and got along well.

I'd like to meet:

Sarcastic, Creative, Neurotic Freaks with OCD...and you. You're already here, so hit me up!

Music:

It's ridiculous to try to list everything I listen to. There are so many artists for so many reasons, and the stress of who to list first is too much for me. I started to panic after listing about 70 and realizing this would take me days, so I'll just name a few.

I was heavily influenced by Guns N Roses, Skid Row, KISS, Alice In Chains, Chris Cornell/Soundgarden. I was obsessed with The Doors/Jim Morrison for a while.

One of my favorite all time albums is Pink Floyd - The Final Cut. Another one is Motorhead - Orgasmatron.

I like everything I've ever heard by Elvis Costello, Elton John, Nazareth, and Dr. Hook.

For some reason, there are quite a few artists that I crank up, but wait to hear on the radio, like U2, Radiohead, Sarah McLaughlan.

When you're driving, music takes on a whole new role in your life. I need Cage, Kid Rock, Linkin Park, Metallica.

Sometimes you just can't get enough of the same CD. In the last year I wore scratches into Amos Lee, Ron Sexmith, Classified (one of the most solid hip hop albums of 2005 came from Nova Scotia!), Fatlip, Moka Only, Swollen Members, White Stripes, Hayden.

I just bought Fort Minor, and looking forward to Sam Roberts.

Todd Kerns rips it up live in Vancouver.

There's so much more, but that's it for now.

Movies:

So many, but I tend to watch more drama than anything. I'm not a big fan of slapstickcomedy or horrors.

Zoolander and Saw were cool. The Rocky Set, Good Will Hunting, A BeautifulMind, Mr. Holland's Opus and Legally Blonde were inspiring. Crash, Requiem For A Dream, BigFish make you think. Godfather, Goodfellas, and anything mob related kicks ass.

Television:

I can't say I "hate" television, but I think it's overpriced (unless you're jackin' free satellite signals). When I do watch it, it's usually King Of Queens (aka Doug And Kari), any music channel, stand up comedy, and poker. Sometimes, as sad as it sounds, I watch Strange Love. It's hard to explain. The show isn't necessarily "entertaining", it's just captivating to watch Bridgette Neilson call the killer MC from Public Enemy, "Foofie Foofie".

Books:

I read a lot of business reference books on music, marketing, internet, etc. and music/poker magazines on a regular basis.

Let's see, besides that stuff, I loved Celestine Prophecy, Five People You Meet In Heaven, The Vampire Chronicles, and a bunch of other Vampire novels, and Tony Robbins is cool, I don't care what you say! There's quite a few, but I can't think right now.

My Blog

First CD Artwork, First Blog, First Coffee This Morning.

Well, I finall have a myspace page and I'm now officially one of the sheep. I see now that I have to customize the blog area separately. That kinda sucks. Man, MySpace could be a full time j...
