Ancient religion, books - give me lots of books, sitting around with friends drinking wine, nerdy gaming stuff, nerdy computer hardware stuff, not enough music unfortunately but I like what I like and it makes me happy, and oodles and oodles of dancing is good times. I like more things but I'm tired and can't think of them.
Only people that I already know or people who know people that I know or people that I used to know but may have lost contact with. New folks, I'm sorry to say, I'll have good intentions to be new friends but I'll get too busy or something and then we both end up feeling annoyed. :)
Good god.. movies? Action movies? HOT FUZZ!!!! & movies from the 40's and especially anything with Kathrine Hepburn? ok, specifically Holiday, The Philadelphia Story and The Lion in Winter. How to Steal a Million with Peter O'Toole and Audrey Hepburn. Of course speaking of Audrey, Breakfast at Tiffany's (which I liked better than the book SO THERE!), Funny Face, and Sabrina; the Ring scared the crap out of me so of course I loved that too; Oh, 28 Days Later, speaking of scary.., The Shining, 2001, Orgazmo, Elizabeth, Wuthering Heights, Baseketball, The Professional, So I married an Axe Murderer, Shaun of the Dead, the original Austin Powers, Gosford Park, Aliens (the Directors cut, of course, but I still wish they'd re-do that scene with the drop ship entering the atmosphere.. yeesh that sucks so much), Star Trek - the Wrath of Khan and The Undiscovered Country (but really, the Wrath of Khan.. I mean, that movie f**king kicks SO much ass..), the original three Star Warses and the last "new one" wasn't so bad (except for all the 'coupley' parts.. so awful),The Road Warrior, For a Few Dollars More, Absolute Power, Apollo 13, the first two Halloween movies which are really just one really long movie and I'm stopping now because I didn't realize I liked so many movies. hoo. But then I had to add Sin City because yep, it was THAT good. Did I mention Tomb Raider? Probably. But I did NOT yet mention Pan's Labyrinth. So good. Wow.
30 Rock! And I'm sold on the American version of "The Office". Deadwood. Definitely Deadwood. And Rome. So great! The Daily Show, Heroes, Bones, the ubiquitous Simpsons and usually the Family Guy, Ghost in the Shell. Really liked Dead Like Me but like Deadwood and Rome, everything really f**king awesome on TV always comes to an end. The new Battlestar Gallactica is pretty good but I haven't allowed myself to get too into it due to time constraints - I don't want to allow myself to watch THAT much TV! Buffy. I loved Buffy.
Life of Pi, pretty much anything by Greg Bear or Gregory Benford, Tolkien, Elaine Pagels, there's a handful of cheesy gothic romance writers that I just love and I'm not ashamed to admit it, Kathy Reichs books even though her titles suck horribly, and tons of one-off writers and books that I love lots. Reading is good. I likes it.
Katharine Hepburn, Titus Pullo, Simon Pegg, Ricky Gervais, Al Swearengen, Hatshepsut, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Buffy, Trey Parker, Galileo, The Tick, Thrakorzog (with a K!), Lara Croft, Justin from "The Secret of Nimh", Enkidu, Elaine Pagels and of course, Gautama.
