Sundayer is an intimist musical project including guitars, bass, voices... and any instruments friends can play !
We actually started to play in a 4-piece band called Garp a few years ago. The music was a bit more rock and we played a few gigs around Britanny. We recorded an album, partly in studio in Rennes.
We had to move out in Normandy, so we took a new turn, just the two of us. And then, our new project was born. New project, new name : we went for Sundayer, because we think we sound like a walk on a sunday afternoon !!!
We recorded an album at home in 2002 with the help of a british cellist. And following that, we were contacted by POPnews to be on their compilation including The National, McEnroe... and by "another record" for the same reason (Hitchcockgohome, mansfield tya, jullian angel...). So far, we've only played twice, the first time with 2 friends along with 'Maison Neuve', a french band from Paris, and then just the two of us with Piano Magic, a great band with very friendly members...

Sundayer est un projet musical intimiste mêlant guitares, basse, voix...et tout instrument que d'autres savent jouer !
On a commencé à jouer dans un groupe à 4 qui s'appelait Garp il y a quelques années de ça. La musique était un peu plus rock et nous avons fait quelques concerts dans l'ouest de la France. Nous avons enregistré un album de 10 titres en partie dans un studio rennais.
On a du déménager en Normandie. Du coup, on s'est lancé dans un nouveau projet. Nouveau projet, nouveau nom : Sundayer, car à l'écoute des morceaux d'alors, on trouvait qu'ils sonnaient comme une promenade dominicale !
En 2002, on a enregistré à la maison un album avec le concours d'une violoncelliste anglaise. Cet album a été relativement bien accueilli, ce qui a amené POPnews à nous contacter et nous proposer une place sur leur compil en compagnie de The National, McEnroe... et "another record" pour leur compil 'sweets for the wild' en compagnie de hitchcockgohome, mansfield tya, jullian angel...Jusqu'à présent, nous avons joué seulement deux fois, la première fois assistés de 2 copains avec 'Maison neuve', groupe de Paris, la deuxième fois en première partie de Piano Magic, qui se révèlent être des gens très agréables...
