About Me

I started playing guitar in 1981 at the age of nine and piano at the age of eleven. Being self-taught, early influences included players such as Edward Van Halen, Randy Rhoades and Angus Young as well as various classical composers and jazz players, I also enjoyed setting Matchbox cars on fire and shooting my BB gun at my neighbors windows. At the age of thirteen, I matured and I started my first band, STRANGE TONGUES along with Andy Aragon on vocals, Aaron Rivers on bass and Alan Aragon on drums. We began playing the Los Angeles club curcuit in 1989 and soon began headlining shows along the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA. We recorded two cds, one studio album and a live album which was recorded at the famous Spice Club in Hollywood which was also aired on cable access.STRANGE TONGUES broke up in 1995 and in 1996 I formed my second group DUST with Alan Aragon on vocals, Mitch Smith on bass and late Leyo Lopez on drums. Once again, we began playing to packed crowds in the Los Angeles club curcuit as well as opening for notable acts such as Slash's Blues Ball, Gilby Clarke and Richie Kotzen. DUST recorded one studio album. After numerous changes in band members, DUST finally disbanded in 2005.In late 2005, I formed my own instrumental band ALPANIAN and we are currently in the studio and recording our debut instrumental cd to be released in January 2008.Cheers.
