Thee Oh No's

Like Motley Crue, Its been a decade of decadence

About Me

What Cdbaby has to say about us... In an era where originality and freshness of style are extremely rare, Thee Oh No's, epitomize all that is imaginative in the garage rock idiom. These four young men, who hail from Tempe, Arizona, have captivated the attention of almost every musically minded individual around these United States. They mix their musical talent with an exciting stage presentation that is so necessary to suceed. The current lineup is Mr. Moto Oh No (guitar/organ/vox), Drain Oh No (guitar/vox), King Sunny Oh No (drums), and Sumo Oh No (bass). Their music is a blend of 1960's garage, bands like The Sonics, The Imperials, The Frantics, etc and more current garage bands like The Mummies, and The Gravedigger V. Thee Oh No's have released their self titled CD and 4-song vinyl only ep on their own "Skimask Records"

Thee Oh No's on "Rock n Roll TV".

Band Members: Mr. Moto Oh No is one of the founding members of the band, and also was a member of The Eightballs and The Tellers. Moto plays guitar, organ and harmonica and is also one of the main songwriters in the band. Interesting facts about Moto is he's an ordained minister, his favorite drink is a black russian and on rare occassions has been known to break dance. ............................................................ ............................................................ ......... Drain Oh No is the near sighted guitar player and other founding member. He's been playing guitar since he was seven and was the guitar player in the Arizona surf quintet The Markdowns and the short lived band The Beatoffs. Drain once ran an anarchist record store in Canada until the authorities ran him out of the country claiming he was turning the kids against canadian bacon, and hockey. And also his refusal to call the letter "z" Zed. When he's not writing songs about beer and urine, Drain likes to taunt rival bands to the point of tears. ............................................................ ............................................................ ..............King Sunny Oh No provides the driving beat that gives the band it's raucous sound. His solid playing has made him a hot commodity in the local music scene and is currently playing in 5 bands! King Sunny doesn't have a lot of free time but when he has a free moment he likes to build furniture or sculpt with clay. ............................................................ ............................................................ ..........Sumo Oh No is a first generation american who grew up in the Pacific Northwest. This upbringing led to his love of a good cup of coffee and great garage music. At the age of twelve, he picked up a bass, learned to play a few songs and set out to start a garage band. Sumo has developed his own style of bass playing that has been dubbed "The Bass Necklace". Other interesting facts about Sumo are that at 6'3" he is the tallest Oh No and as is name suggests, is a featherweight sumo wrestler.
