The story of this anomalistic punk rock duo begins in 1996 when they first practiced in a Florida-bound grandmother's kitchen who left her home open to the creative process.
Through the years they went relatively unnoticed in the local scene and endured endless ridicule. It was all the typical ups and downs of two young cretinoids trying to transform their sound from neighborhood noise pollution into something righteous.
With uncompromising determination and adversity fueling the fire these two turned the tide and made something that began laughable into a respectable D.I.Y. punk band. This turn of events has led to sharing the stage with bands such as Sloppy Seconds (Nitro Records), The Cobra Skulls (Red Scare Records), La Plebe (Red Scare Records), The Guts (Ex-Queers, Ex-Nobodys), The Spunks (Gearhead Records) and The Saltwater Vampires (Midwest underground punk kings).
Two Psycho Nubs' songs appeared on the soundtrack of Zack Parker's feature-length film, "Inexchange." Inexchange was released internationally by Brain Damage Films and Razor Digital Entertainment in 2005. (For more information visit: www.alongthetracks.com )
The Psycho Nubs released their debut LP, First Human Beings To Die On The Moon in November 2005. Music critics praised the album and the band for their musical versatility and strong songwriting. Various songs from the album received terrestrial radio airplay from faraway places such as Fargo, North Dakota to the very unlikely Helsinki, Finland. Internet radio was also a very friendly medium for the band's album. The Psycho Nubs peaked at 5th place for the week of 08/20/06 on the internet radio station at www.hussieskunk.com with 22 spins. On a more recent note, "NOT JUST THERAPY" from album, ALLEY OF THE IGNOTS, made it into Zack Parker's film, QUENCH. QUENCH is distributed by Vanguard Cinema and is available everywhere DVDs are sold.
Keep your eyes and ears open for The Psycho Nubs once reunited again. Good things are to come.
