Not many unsigned bands could boast a slot on Jonathan Ross, a gig at the Brixton Academy with Norman Cook on Bass and a sell out UK tour but this has been the story so far for these rockabilly ragamuffinsso what of the future I hear you cry. Well, for JQ it just gets better and better.Their first album Vogue Gyratory is the soundtrack to 2003 that first raised the eyebrows of the industry and bought them to the attention of folks like Norman Cook and Chris Difford. Now after an extensive sabbatical in a purpose built Studio deep in the Hills of Tuscany, Jonny Quality is producing their best material to date. Like a fine wine the band is maturing and metamorphasising their sound into a fresh take on the old values that have so influenced the band in the pastNorman Cook once quoted that If the Beastie Boys had sex with a stray cat, whilst the Jam was watching. Jonny quality would be their lovechild. I think he hit the nail right on the head with that statement as many have tried before to describe the unique sound this 4 piece make.
