In the fall of 2004 Pittsburgh artists EMS, Proseed, Bricklayah, and Accolade combined forces and formed Solid Ground Entertainment. Since then Solid Ground has embarked on a journey to forever change the face of hip-hop. Solid Ground is a crew that collectively consists of solo artists EMS, Proseed, Bricklayah, Accolade, and Typhoon. Theyre backed by super producers Contra, Albanys own Tommy Wong, and Ulliversal from Germany. Together they have become a dominant squad slowly carving their way into the hip-hop history book. Since 2004 Solid Ground has managed to put the cobra clutch on Pittsburgh hip-hop scene. Theyve shared the stage with such artists as Aesop Rock, Blueprint, Mr. Lif, Illogic, The Juggaknots, SA Smash, Louis Logic, iCON the Mic King, JJ Brown, Dos Noun, One BeLo, Sev Statik, Hangar 18, and Okwerdz to name a few. Solid Ground has even branched out to perform at 10th annual Scribble Jam in Cincinnati, Ohio, year in and out the countrys largest hip-hop festival. However things are just getting started. In 2006-07 Solid Ground will slowly release a slew of releases sure to put their name on the tongue of every hip-hop fan in the country.
