About Me

A Deep-Pocket Presence, Joe Goretti supplies the musical foundation for a variety of artists of all styles and genres. He has performed around the world and for a wide array of audiences that include Jay Z and the Kennedy's. He has also been seen by millions performing with Ne-Yo on the Late Show with David Letterman as well as AOL Sessions. Joe's versatility and musicality keep his skills in high demand. Joe began his pursuit of drumming at the age of twelve in his hometown of Buffalo, NY. He studied with local legend, Louie Marino (Billie Holiday) for ten years then earned an Associate's Degree in Music Performance from Niagara County College. During that time, Joe cut his teeth performing professionally an incredible spectrum of styles including: Jazz, Rock, Metal, Funk, Fusion, Progressive, Country, Blues, Bluegrass, Theatre, Classical, Avante-gard, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop and West African. Joe earned a great reputation and worked constantly. In 1998, Joe was awarded a scholarship from Berklee College of Music. He relocated to Boston to further his education. He began studying with world-famous drummers, Kenwood Dennard, Ian Froman, Ralph Peterson and Gene Lake. Joe flourished in Berklee's musical environment. Joe began performing in and around the Boston area again covering a wide range of styles. He began touring the country with nine-time grammy nominee, Ron Levy in Ron Levy's Wild Kingdom, an organ-based funk trio popular on the jam band circuit. He also played with KittyMonkey, an electronic rock band that was critically acclaimed. Joe relocated to New York City in the spring of 2002. He picked up where he left off and was instantly enveloped by New York's thriving music scene. Joe's credits include, platinum recording artist, Ne-Yo, American Idol finalist, Anthony Fedorov, artist, Chrissi Poland as well as legendary horn section, The Uptown Horns.
