About Me

R-Tay Proudly Endorses...

Hello All - My name is Artie Dillon and I am a Musician/Recording Engineer/Musiholic.....That is 2 say, I try 2 stay as busy making a living doing what I love!!! Music has allowed me to share the stage and studio with some of the world's most talented musicians, both famous and obscure. I've had the opportunity to play and/or mix in 5 countries in venues spanning from small clubs to festivals. Versatility is a quality that has always been important to me. So whether it's a hideous wedding, cover gig, or a beautiful showcase of original music, I can be comfortable playing more than just one base!
Presently, I am the lead guitarist/keyboardist in legendary drummer Carmine Appice's "SLAMM Drum Experience." I am also one of the lead guitarists in the KILLER progressive metal band LAZARUS . I have engineered or performed on stage with John Entwistle (The Who), Gavin DeGraw, Joss Stone, The Late GREAT Moe Holmes (Voices of East Harlem), Nektar, Vince Martell (Vanilla Fudge) Greg Errico (Sly Stone), Tori Ruffin (Morris Day) Nick Moroch (Jessica Simpson, David Sandborn), Ben Mauro (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson), Jon Fritz (Lionel Richie), Brett Bass (Enrique Iglesias), Kiko Gonzalez (Jennifer Lopez), Billy Masters (Suzanne Vega) and Frank McCombto name a few...
The other projects that are VERY close to my heart are The Dayz Of Wild (All Funk, All The Time ;-), Chrissi Poland (Nu R&B), RSP Experiment (eXpErImEnTal), and Jason Spoor (Ecclectic Acoustic/Electric). More recently, I am playing guitar with legendary Long Island progressive-metal band Lazarus. We've been getting rave reviews and have opened up for Winger, and Dokken and Kamelot.
Now, I'm certainly not one for self - glorification, but I will say that I do have a deep emotional connection to the field. My mom is a singer so I guess you could say it's in the blood. I started playing guitar @ 10. I was hooking up PA's for my mom's band @ 13, and got my first studio gig when I was 15. I studied audio at NYC's acclaimed Institute of Audio Research and guitar with world-class instructors like Mark Hitt and Ray DeTone. I enjoy every aspect of what I do. From the most technically complex and challenging piece of equipment to the sweetest simple melody, at the heart of it all is the desire to express myself through the music or sound I have the opportunity to create.
So hopefully you don't think I play like ass. Enjoy ;-)
BTW - I am VERY happy to say that I proudly use Brian Moore Guitars, Marshall Amplification, D'Addario Strings, Dunlop Picks, and Welch's Concord Grape Fruity Snacks.
