FUCKIN' UP SINCE 1998

About Me

We play music since 1998. We are Mr. Low (Bass/ Guitars), Mr. Point (voice/ guitars) and Mr. Drain (drums). We're based in a town called 'Hellevoetsluis'or'just plain 'Hell'.... we like to play live shows and get the hell out of here...
It all started back in 1998 when Mr. Point was trying to shake off his punk/ hardcore past with crustpunk band "Bullshit Propaganda". He got fed up with the pc-squat scene and even more fed up with the boring music that accompanied it all. Eyes widened when the first signs of raw trash garage sounds were introduced to. It pretty much all comes down to this: Mr. Drain, friend and fellow skate-buddy of Mr. Point had the idea of starting up a campaign in order to sow confusion amongst the underground pop-scene. The bandname was there way before the band itself. They couldn't even play a proper song, let alone drum it in a steady way. So, teaming up together in B.P's rehearsal cave, Mr. Drain felt the urge to drop beats that would fit a simple yet rockin' rock'n'roll garage trash song. They simply didn't care about it, nor what people would think of it. The ol' days were influenced by bands such as: The Nightkings, FYP, Gories, Chintz Devils just to name a few. Sloppy, catchy basic simple music for basic simple people. It was only after a year or two that Mr. Point and Mr. Drain really started to play live. They had recorded every rehearsal session on tape and released some of those around the country. To their surprise, a local Dutch music magazine (Opscene) picked 'em up and released a track "I fuck who I wanna fuck"on cd. The first real signs of life were brought in second hand cassettes copied with their own music on it. Mr. Point and Mr. Drain were running a small DIY label and zine called ZALF TAPES which covered an excerpt of the DUTCH/ BELGIAN hometape underground at that time. In 2003 they did their first recording session with Peter (No-Goods/ Miracle Men) Kroes and released a cd-r. This was just a try out of demo's. A year later, in 2004 they recorded 25 songs and released 17 of them on cd-r. In 2005 the Dutch garage-beat label KURIOSA RECORDS had the honor to put out the first official 7" EP called "Bottle 'o' Whiskey" (300 copies). In spring of 2005 a bass/ guitar player was found in Mr. Low to join the band permanently. A studio recording was done in march 2006 in German studio Die TONMEISTEREI. In 2006, Slovenly Records USA released their second 7" in their 2nd 45 series. This all pretty much put LPD on the map. Their last recording session was done in february 2008 and will blow you away with more blast than before.
Having played places like barns, squats, venues, trains, boats, backyards and whatever they still focus on playing live shows as much as possible. Their style might have been changed from trashy bluespunk to steady garage punkrock, but the original trash'n'roll recipe hasn't changed much, though. Listen to these tunes yourself and find out. Meanwhile, we'll be on the road to find you out there, to musically grab you by the head and bash it back and forth 'till your ears bleed and leave you down in confusion...
