Whether it’s playing his horn with his jazz quintet, or producing music for some of your favorite artists, Da Phessah Drew Baham aspires to be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Formally trained at the prestigious New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), with a acclaimed alumni such as the Marsalis Family, Wendell Pierce, Terence Blanchard,and many others, Baham concentrated on the genre of jazz. During his senior year, he recieved an endorsed trumpet from Yamaha. "I get my influences from people like Quincy Jones", says Baham. "I believe that he has traveled the pathway that I’m headed towards. I can play and compose in different genres."Baham has many producing, writing, and performance credits to his name. His work is included in upcoming R&B artist Leiz debut album "Stories Of My Life", gospel artist Tonya Boyd-Cannon’s "Rise My Child", and countless others. He has performance credits with Ellis Marsalis, The Soul Rebels, The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, and others.
