I had an opportunity to interview this extremely talented artist and was blown away from the first song on her mixtape to the very last 2 songs, which were originals, written, produced and arranged by her. In my opinion she is the next on the podium to reign as the future of R&B. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------Born Nicole Marie Whitehead, she is now branding herself as N.I.K.K.I. Da Jukebox. She currently has a song playing on Hot 107.9 with newcoming artist Phoenix "The Firestarter" called "Pull On My Weave". She is consistently trade marking throughout the mixtape, making herself memorable. She has completely garnished some of the hottest hip hop tracks on her now released mixtape titled â€œHijack the Track â€œR&B is Backâ€, Round 1.â€ She compliments each track with the expertise of creating a marriage between her hijacks and the tracks. Her goal is to bridge the gap between R&B and Hip Hop, like none other. She skillfully sings over the arrangements with smooth/colorful vocal techniques effortlessly, while her harmonies tell her story. Although her style demands respect and commands the street to give her justice, she is unlike a lot of todayâ€™s vocalist; Da Jukebox has no limits as to what she can do vocally. After hearing this mixtape, you will become a fan of hers. You will know that Da Jukebox is on the scene to stayâ€¦.and there is nothing the gatekeepers can do to stop her drive. Although she is not the first R&B vocalist to present a mixtape, however, she is the one that will be remembered the most.
