I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Hey. I'm a homo. If this bothers anyone, there's the door. I'm 23, gainfully employed, stubborn, slovenly, old. People tend to like me in spite of all these things, but still, when I get drunk and go to a party nobody wants to fuck my face. Fancy that. I enjoy music (it's a broad range, but most relatively modern garbage never really grows on me. A good example is that "Grille" song that gets way too much airplay, or the whole Kayne West song that's written just so he can use the N word over and over again.), and I also enjoy movies, Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, most of what they play in the evening on Court TV, most of what the play in the morning on Lifetime (television for fags), most of what they play after 2pm on HGTV, most of what they play on Discovery and TLC, most of Comedy Central, the BBC, and anything on history channel that isn't about the military (so equal to three hours of programming monthly), I also enjoy carsI enjoy travel, although I never get to do any of it anymore... So far, I have been to (in relative order): Wisconsin (1984-1986, occasionally weekends and summers since then) Minnesota (1986-present) Illinois (1989, 1996, 1997 and 1999) Indiana (1989, 2005) North Dakota (1996) Reykjavik, Iceland (1999) London, United Kingdom (1999, same trip as Iceland) Saint Louis, MO (2000) Fort Lauderdale, FL (2000, same trip as Saint Louis) Key Largo, FL (2000, same trip as Saint Louis) Miami, FL (2000, same trip as Saint Louis) Nassau, Bahamas (2000, cruise, same trip as Saint Louis) Iowa (2001, 2002) South Dakota (2005) I will blog about each of the notable trips at a later date. I'd like to go to: North America: Denver, CO San Fransisco, CA Seattle, WA Portland, OR Omaha, NE Dallas, TX San Padre Island, TX Houston, TX Austin, TX Atlanta, GA Asheville, SC Charleston, NC Boston, MA Quahog, RI Toronto, ON Quebec, ON South America: Belize, Brazil Europe: Copenhagen, Denmark Brussels, Belgium Amsterdam, Netherlands Paris, France Prague, Czech Republic Dublin, Ireland Madrid, Spain Berlin, Germany Warsaw, Poland Australia: Sydney Brisbane I don't really have any interest in going to the middle east, Asia, Africa or antarctic, and even if I did, I'll be old and gray by the time I make a dent in the list up there even if I won the Minnesota Millionaire Raffle and started tomorrow. I'm also the biggest Trekkie I know. I speak the car and the computer as though the car is a shuttle craft and the computer is the computer. It's amazing the reaction I get from people, esp ignorant people who don't know what the fuck I'm talking about because they're ignorant. I'm personally against the whole Enterprise endeavor. I like the lead whose name I can't recall right now but the whole series was a bad idea. Nothing ever happens and it's not right to destroy the timeline. It's spent nearly forty years going forward, it should NOT have gone in reverse

My Interests

POLITICS (VERY VERY LEFT WING), also, I collect bicycles, piggy banks, and antiques.I also love to walk, bike, etc. I DO have a car, but I am trying to minimize me needless drivingAlso, I love food, drinking, lowkey parties, coffeeshops, etc.I am 67% Emo.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet some new friends, always! Anyway, like I said, I'm looking to meet new people or maybe some of the old ones who lost touch from school and stuff. I'd also like to meet some of the people I listen to on Air America, but in particular, I love Al Franken, Randi Rhodes, Thom Hartman, Mark Riley, Bill Press, the guys on Minnesota Matters, Stephanie Miller, Rachael Maddow and really anyone else EXCEPT Laura Flanders and Louise Sunden. It's just that Louise Sunden's show is boring and Laura Flanders just doesn't appeal to me as a personality. It's nothing personal, and I embrace all liberals, the shows just aren't for me."And though I'm not a great romancer, I know that I'm bound to answer when you propose, Anything Goes!"

Music:

I dislike most things modern, I have an especially warm place for 20's-40's jazz, betty hutton, the Andrews sisters, Cole Porter, and such... My exception to the anti-modern rule is Lily Allen. I have her album, and I love about 80% of it. When's the last time you've loved 80% of any album?

Movies:

I LOVE movies, mostly comedy and musical with few exception.
adopt your own virtual pet!
You Are the Very Gay SpongeBob!
Because the religious right says so...
And because his best friend looks a bit too much like a penis. What Gay Childhood Icon Are You?
You Should Drive a DeLorean
You don't take yourself too seriously, and you prefer a fun, unusual car... like this Back to the Future gem! What Sports Car Should You Drive?
You Were a Raccoon
You are a master of disguise and multiple personas.
You are infinitely curious and question others without fear. What Animal Were You In a Past Life? I am 67% Asshole/Bitch.
.. I am abrasive, some people really hate me, but there may be a group of other tight knit assholes and bitches that I can hang out with and get me. Everybody else? Fuck ‘em. Take the
Asshole/Bitch Test
@ FualiDotComI am 85% Promiscuous.
.. I am never satisfied. I spend most of the time getting some or figuring out how to get some. It's why we were put here. Something that feels that good should done often and for long periods of time. Take the
Promiscuous Test
@ FualiDotComI am 46% White Trash.
.. The white trash in my blood will not keep me from becoming a doctor or a lawyer, but it will keep me from a good haircut and any sort of fashion sense. Take the

Television:

EITHER: Cartoon Network's adult swim feature OR Educational PBS, Discovery, History, TLC, Science, HGTV. OR Star Trek (Voyager or Next Generation).

Books:

My favorites currently that I've read lately: "The Good Doctor" by Wesley Clarkson [About Harold "Fred" Shipman, the biggest serial killer in British history, a doctor that murdered his patients] "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?" by George Carlin [A humourous look at the world about us] "Napalm and Silly Putty" by George Carlin [Also a humourous look at the world around us, but "Pork Chops" is better] "Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them" by Al Franken [a funny look at the Right Wing] "The Truth (with Jokes)" by Al Franken [a funny look at the left wing] "The First Wives Club" By Olivia Goldsmith [Yet another book they fucked up as a movie. Totally different, and the book is WAY better] "On Leaving Charleston" By Alexandra Ripley [part of a trilogy I haven't read the rest of. I loved the fact that it's a period piece, and a lot of it is set in the 20's] I also have two books by Dan Savage that I loved but I do not recall the titles. I also have an Urban Legends Reference Book by Jan Harold Brunvand.

Heroes:

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER: Jamie Graham Also, Alyce Meyers, Sheila Wong, Nina VanHorne, Lois Griffin, Roseanne, Seth Green, Peg Bundy, Leela, Fry, Bender, Professor, Morel Orel, Tom Tucker, Glen Quagmire, Greased up Deaf Guy, Kool Aid, Adam West, Diane Simmons, and then there's the old guy from Family Guy. And Joan Blondell (extra points to anyone who can name even one film she was in, besides James and Ed, because they would probably know, in fact I know James knows). I also love the Andrews Sisters, although my favorite was always Maxene. She was the bravest, she married and divorced a jew during the second world war. And she was ALWAYS the hottest, even now, she's probably hotter than Patty, and she's been dead for over ten years!! And Betty Hutton. It takes a lot of courage to stumble through life so drunk like that. Honestly, I'm amazed she didn't fall apart and die like a lot of other hollywood drunks did. Kudos to her! (Update, Betty Hutton died in March at the age of 86. Limited bio on her (and countless others) is available at nndb.com, as in the Notable Names DataBase) Also, and not as an afterthought or anything, I absolutely LOVE my best friend James Blomberg. He's the salt of the earth, he's my favorite, he has done so much for me, for my development as a person, it's unreal. There are no words at all. I can't wait to move in with him again, and I love him so much (in that way that friends are... not romantic in the slightest).
