These are a few of my favorites - I think I'm fairly open minded, BUT, I do maintain a firm "No Country or Gangsta Rap" policy..., and Karaoke just plain frightens me! Back to the favorites - The Distillers, The Cramps, X, Rancid, Shirly Manson/Garbage, David Bowie, Muse, The Cure, early Tori Amos, Tracy Bonham, Amanda Kravat/MarryMeJane, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, Rasputina, Old School Punk, Gothabilly, Phsycobilly, etc. There are just too many to list, and the favorites change with the moods.Of course I still like classic 70's/80's Rock, new wave and most alternative bands. Real Time with Bill Maher, South Park, The Daily Show with John Stewart & The Colbert Report, Penn & Teller: Bullshit, The Independent Film Channel just about all the time, National Geographic Channel, DOC, Discovery Channel, etc. And Okay.., I love Survivor.., there, I said it!
Books:
I'm going to be the 1st person here to admit whole heartedly that I haven't read a book in years! Very sad, I know. I have listened to several books on cd during my crazy commute era. Some for spirituality - writings of the Dahlia Lama, some for fun - The Di Vinci Code, some to improve sales skills, that's the truth, lol.
Heroes:
That's a tough one. The 1st ones that come to mind are parents who take the time to raise amazing children who grow to be amazing people.
