My musical evolution was as follows.... I always have been around music, in 83 I started playing Trombone in the school band & singing in Choir, I was in 3rd grade, that same year I got turned on to Iron Maiden & Heavy Metal, it was all over from there... I got in to Punk & Hard Core in around 87, here is where I started clubbing, at the ripe age 15 we started going to this club called Back Streets for all ages punk & hard core shows. In 90 I started my 1st band, Under Attack, A 3 chord punk 3 piece, that went thru many revisions & played 3 shows. Then in 92 came the 1st serious band, Verdict, This was more NYC Hard Core sound & we had a lot of fun. Played a bunch of small shows, Then after HS, members went off to different colleges so the band broke up. In 92 I started A Melancholy Day, a Joy Division meets the Cure Goth trio. This is where I was introduced to drum Machines, Effects processors & the theory of less people, more gear. This band lasted for a few months, played a few shows when the basses, who happened to be the guy with the drum machine, left the band. Once I got enough money to by my 1st Drum Machine, we formed as Procession Of Faith, a darkwave Goth trio that lasted from 93 till 98. POF had 3 singles released as part of a compilations on Saint Thomas Records, & played all over NY & the East Coast. In around 95 I started getting more in to dance music, so I formed Nexus 6 which went thru some member changes, but was pretty successful in the end. Just before breaking up, Nexus 6 was being produced by German Industrial master Daniel Myer of Haujobb. Nexus played all over NY & the North East having great success with their live shows. We moved out here to Seattle in 2000 officially broke up in 01. In 2001 I went to a Massive 8000+ people, 5 rooms, having been to original raves back in like 93 I had quite a different expectation of what it was like now. I really saw something wonderful there that night, & the music Nexus was doing was very much like trance with pissed off vocals. So I started getting more in to trance & in August 02 I had my first dj gig as MarQ. On October 29 2004 I played at of those massives, like the one that turned me on to the trance scene with over 7500 in attendance. I singed with Fiberline Audio in 04 & have 3 tracks/remix released & many more on the way. So as you can see its been a crazy 21 years of living & loving music. When It all started out in 3rd grade I never expected to be making a living at it today.
