Inpetto started life as a word that was sparked in the minds of brothers Marco and Dirk Duderstadt. In 1998 the two German producers had found themselves in need of pseudonym with which to remix and record their more progressively orientated house material. Having hit on the name, they laid down the single ‘Brahmaputra’ and subsequently had it picked up by Ramon ‘Hardfloor’ Zenker and Jens ‘Energy Flow’ Lissat’s No Respect label. With their other project experiencing a massive and rapid rise to international success, the brothers drafted Inpetto in to give the chart monster ‘Toca Me’ its now legendary remix treatment…
And then, in 2000, while their other projects soared, Inpetto fell silent…
… In 2007 Dirk and Marco decided it was time to reignite the Inpetto flame. Returning to the studio they produced only their second single, ‘Mocking Cliffchat’ - releasing it on their own Boorsheece Records label. Spurred on by its reception at the hands of a wide cross-section of DJs, they resumed remixing and production duties at pace. The brother’s initially remapped Andrea Doria & LXR’s ‘The Beauty of Silence’ for Bluffin’ Records, before re-setting their sights on an old acquaintance. In early 2008 Inpetto Vocal reworks of ‘Toca’s Miracle’ ram-raided the UK Top 20 singles chart for an unprecedented THIRD time - sealing its place as one of the most enduring dance tracks of all time. It also hit the number 1 position in many dance charts, including the UK Upfront Club Charts. It was No. 1 of the official Brazil dance charts & No. 2 of the Australian Club Charts. It also climbed up to No. 2 in the influential European Dancefloor Charts and in the Beatport Sales Chart, to name just a few.
With the Inpetto name now firmly back on the EDM radar, the thirst for Inpetto remixes quickly resumed. The pair have now completed remaps of Jerry Ropero’s ‘The Storm’ for Positiva, Meck featuring Dino Lenny’s forthcoming ‘So Strong’ on Frenetic and ‘If You Should Go’, for the world’s No.1 DJ, Armin van Buuren.
