Danni Green grew up in Glasgow and at age 8 moved to London where she studied performing arts for the next seven years. During this time she appeared in many Film, Television and Theatre productions (see FILM and TV page) and at 14 was asked by her vocal coaches David and Carrie Grant to appear in their video 'You Can Sing' (Carlton) as the featured girl singer. Danni is now represented by Olivia Bell for her acting work.
In late 2003 Danni was spotted singing at a school concert by music producer/songwriter Phil Da Costa (Darius, Vanessa-Mae, Bond). He was so impressed by her performance and exceptional natural vocal talent that he offered to nurture and develop her music career.
Through 2004/2005/2006 and into 2007 Danni worked with Phil developing and recording material and co-writing new songs along with Phil's long time music production and writing partner Jon Cohen (Opera Babes, Myleene Klass, Vanessa-Mae, Darius). Phil also enlisted the help of vocalists Shelley Nelson and Sinead Quinn to collaborate on the project.
The resulting tracks were a exciting mix of original up-tempo pop-with-an-edge songs and beautiful atmospheric ballads.
These tracks can be heard on www.myspace.com/phildacosta.In 2007 Danni is working with David Whitmey who has worked with the likes of TakeThat,Sugababes,Sophie Ellis Bextor and new up and coming band Kojo.Have a listen to a new track that she has just finsihed and keep listening for many more very, very soon.
