Sometimes zero is better than nothing.

About Me

I'm an ex-alcoholic (3 years sober)... My father was a carpenter who fought in WW2 and my mother was a secretary for a dental office. They divorced when I was sixteen... Underachieving straight-C student who attended public schools from kindergarten to 12th grade and hated every single day of it... First hardcore punk show was in 1982 at the Oakland Auditorium (now HJK) with Discharge, DOA, Bad Brains, The Lewd, Social Unrest and The Fartz all on the same bill. Some huge skinhead used me as a crash pad for a stage dive and dislocated my ankle in the process. I still have the flier... Work at an indie record store. The job consists of maintaining the "red tag" rock sections and selling CDs online. It's tolerable... No wife, no kids, and I'm keeping it that way... Last, but not least, I'm a staff writer for Punk Globe.

BACK TO HAUNT YOU WITH OUR SOUND: THE DAMNED @ SLIM'S

In marked contrast to what their poor to middling recordings had lead me to expect from them, SoCal's self-described "post-art-punk-power-pop-wave" metrosexuals, THE ADORED, were actually a pretty goo...
